"We reviewed several businesses on Angie's List for a Hardwood Refinishing specialist. We found our top 3 and asked each one for an estimate of the work. Juxtaposition Hardwood contacted us right away, came over to our townhome and explained in detail how they would perform the work, color choices, finish choices, cost, and lead time. I received an email quote from the other specialist and never received any information from the third choice. The second quote we received in the email, charged the same price as Juxtaposition to re-sand the floors, but added an additional $500.00 to put plastic up, clean up after sanding, etc. Because of Juxtaposition's clean method of re-sanding (dust collection from the sander meant no need to plasticize furniture, cabinets and kept our cost down) and the excellent references they received, we went with Juxtaposition.

Todd scheduled our work about 4-6 weeks from the time of estimate. One week before the final scheduled date, Todd came over to place some stain color choices on our floor for us to pick from. We found one color that was close to what we wanted but it lacked depth of color (not as intense in the wood grain, pastel-ly looking) as compared to the rest of the floor. Due to Todd's schedule, Robert, Todd's employee, came over and explained about pre-treating the sanded floor with water to open the wood pores and allow more color to be and quot;soaked upand quot; by the sanded wood. He resanded the sample area and showed us how this would look. It was like MAGIC! This technique gave us exactly the color and depth we were looking for. Thanks Robert!

The work started on the day scheduled and took 3-4 days to complete. Even though the finish used was a non-oil based finish, we decided to take a mini-vacation and spend a few nights downtown, while Juxtaposition did the work on the floor. When we came back from our mini-vacation, the floor was completely done, the house was spotless and floor was BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Todd, Robert and Zane for an EXCELLENT job! We will definitely recommended you to others.

The reason for the B in responsive is more about promptness in responsiveness. I had emailed Juxtaposition about 3 weeks before the scheduled date but did not receive a response. A week had passed and no response. So I called and left a voice mail message with my question. After a couple of days, I texted Juxtaposition and received an answer right away. So the take away is to text first then try the other methods of contact.
