"Troy does an excellent job and our carpets look terrific. We’d tried several cheaper services in the past, never really satisfied with the results, until we found Troy several years ago"

"I just purchased a new home in Georgia. The carpets needed to be deep cleaned, sanitized and deodorized. Carpet Transformers did a fabulous job on my carpets. They looked brand new and there was no order left from the previous owners. I was handling this whole transaction remotely as I was in another state. The whole process was smooth, They were professional, on-time, responsive and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them."

"Lewis Co. Does a great job with installation of flooring. We had a couple of small mishaps, but the owner himself came out and helped fix them. I would recommend this company to anyone! And their prices were very reasonable!"

"This became a major project for not only the family room but the entire main floor. Daniel and his crew removed and replaced 100 sq. feet of hardwood flooring from the family room due to water damage. Because the main floor (1500 sq. feet) does not have any doors (except the bath) the insurance company stated that the entire level would have all the flooring completely refinished. <br /> Daniel and his crew removed 100 sq. ft. of red oak flooring and replaced it with the same type of wood. Daniel wanted to leave the (new wood) in place for one week to season. I agreed as this is considered one of the top Best Practice for installing new hardwood flooring.  <br /> Daniel and his crew returned in a week and removed 5 rooms of furniture, including all the blinds, to the garage. They also covered all the kitchen cabinets, built in book shelves, etc. with plastic. After much discussion with Daniel, we decided to use oil base and not water base. We used oil on the current flooring and decided to stay with oil again. Water or oil is a critical discussion to have with your flooring vendor as they both have their advantages and water technology has really improved in the last decade but only use the high end water product. <br /> Daniel in extremely knowledgeable of all wood flooring and the the types of stains and poly. My wife and I can not say enough about the finished product. The first time we had the carpet removed and hardwood installed the job was also very well done but Daniel and his crew exceeded our expectations. The furniture was put back in place and the entire first level was cleaned as well as new shoe molding installed in all the areas.  <br /> Daniel is a true pro at his craft and is great to work with. We will use Daniel to do the same great job on the top floor and the terrace level this Fall. <br />"

"I have used this company twice. Once to install carpet in masterbed room, which was a last minute decision and needed to get it done before our bathroom renevation. They were great to work with and were able to get our installation in the very next day. I have since had two other bed rooms carpeted. They are a pleasure to work with. Pricing is good, professional, good quality work. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Monroe, GA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
