"When hearing the scritch-scratch of roof rats in our attic space, we wanted experts on the job. We did our research and called numerous companies before settling on Critter Tech. Our reasons: Critter Tech isn't an insect extermination company that just happens to do rats, too--these people know critters, and their price is competitive with other companies that lack similar warranty services. Critter Tech offered a year's warranty (a company offering 30 days of warranty on a rat problem is offering you no warranty at all). Jason did the initial attic inspection, took pictures, explained what he saw and what that meant as far as how they would approach the problem. With a combination of trapping and continual inspection by Tony and Destiny to seal up possible entry points over several weeks, our problem was gone. Fast forward through several months of quiet and, once the weather turned colder, we could hear that the rats had made their way inside the attic again. One call and Critter Tech was here again. After diligent work by Jason, Tony, and Destiny over several weeks of trapping and inspecting, they discovered the new entry the rats had chewed into our roof. Now that this is sealed, we should be hearing the last of the rats very soon. However, if the rats chew their way in again, I know Critter Tech will keep at it until the problem is solved. Here's the thing: People happily pay companies to come spray to kill scorpions, crickets, etc. Do they expect to pay for one visit and have their problem solved, never a scorpion to be seen again? No, they pay on a monthly basis to ensure the population that continues to live around their home is kept under control. Why, then, is it expected that rat abatement is any different? If you expect a company to take care of your roof rat issue in just one visit, you are being unrealistic--you might as well go buy lottery tickets because you must be just that lucky. These animals breed like nobody's business and, if they are in your roof, they are living throughout your neighborhood; no company can eradicate rodents from an entire neighborhood. The sad reality is that roof rats are here in the Valley to stay. What Critter Tech can and does do is track and trap the rats to get them out of your attic and home and seal your home so the rats can no longer infiltrate from the outside. Why does it sometimes take a while to find that rat entry point? Considering that rats can get into your home through an opening the size of a quarter, it can be difficult to find an entry under roof tiles, eaves, overhangs, foundations, and such (if it were a neon-lit entryway with a red carpet, we could find it ourselves, now couldn't we?). You can do everything in your power to make sure your property is as unattractive as possible to rodents, but if they live in your neighborhood and your house has an opening, your home is fair game. Everyone I've interacted with at the company is professional, friendly, prompt, courteous, and absolutely motivated to solve the problem. Vicky is wonderful about scheduling inspections and trap checks around my schedule, calling with and emailing reminders, and returning phone calls. Critter Tech comes when they say they will, and they do what they say they will do. On the last day of our year warranty we will happily write Critter Tech a check for another year of service to provide us with peace of mind and the ability to call them back at any time. Worth. "(I'm not sure what happened, I wrote a long, great review then the next day Angie's List called me and asked me to submit a review again over the phone. Apparently my long review full of praise was shortened to and quot;they are a small companyand quot;. W**, Angie's List.) <br /> <br /> I called Courtesy Pest Control to come exterminate a gopher that was plaguing my yard. I talked to the owner, Hank, when I called and was happy to learn that they used traps, not poison. I have 3 cats and a dog so I don't need poison or a poisoned gopher showing up in my yard! They were able to come out the same week and set the traps. Every week my technician came back to check the traps and reset as necessary. He always called the day before to let me know he'd be by, and give me an update on how it was going (I was always at work when he came over). It took 3-4 weeks but they finally caught the sneaky bugger--he had quite the tunnel system going on. I could not be happier. After the gopher was killed, they removed the traps. The next day, the owner Hank called me to tell me I had actually overpaid by $40 (it was $85 for the initial set-up, which it turns out also covered the final removal of traps, and $40 for intermidiate weeks when traps had to be reset due to dirt or whatever accidentally tripping them). He said he would return or destroy the check, or he could send a technician to treat for crickets and ants that had been observed in my yard. I opted for the latter and they came the following day to provide those services. <br /> <br /> A little over a month later, I have evidence of a new gopher invading my yard. I immediately called Courtesy Pest Control and Hank said they would be able to come out the next week (I called on a Thursday or Friday) even though it was a short holiday week. He remembered who I was and where I lived which was great. I now have new traps set. No evidence of new gopher mounds after the first week, so hopefully they caught him on the first try!"

"We had guests and they heard noises at night and we got bids to eliminate any potential attic pests. Mr. Ramos checked and actually went over all the areas of the attic (not an easy task) and saw no evidence of pests. We did hire him to rodent proof the vents/etc. He also set out traps in the attic and two in our backyard just to be sure. He came back a week and half later to check and there still was no evidence of rodents and he removed the traps. We live next to a golf course and may have had varmints next to the outside wall or on the roof. While here the first time he noticed termite evidence in our garage. We also hired him to treat the termite infestation. He treated outside the whole house and also treated inside the garage without having to drill in our foundation. He was always on time. Very thorough and great attention to detail. I am the type of person that likes to know how things work and how the treatment would work. Mr. Ramos knows how the treatments work and was able to explain it to me which gave me great confidence in the type of treatment that was used. Because he knows the technical details he also knew how to tailor the treatment in the garage. Mr. Ramos was not the least expensive bid(s) but I am very glad we chose him. One will note we rated this service an A for price because of the value he brought to the jobs(not just the dollar cost). He will continue to monitor the termite activity and treatment as it takes effect. Also, note we definitely would hire him again. C. Hughes"
