"The team of Will S,, Brady M., Louis F., and Darrell D., provided SUPERIOR service. They were prompt in arriving, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout our installation of spherical piers to stabilize our sinking foundation. Cleanup was excellent and pace of work was amazing. My ENTIRE experience from my first phone call to the completion of the job was without flaw or drama. I will definitely use them again, if necessary, and I will DEFINITELY recommend Mount Valley to anyone who needs any of their services. Special Kudos to Willâ s team!!"

"I pay them $86 a month all year long for all of their services. I had it competitively priced with Scott like the fire-ants, they're competitive. The guy that does all of our services but the mosquito service, Randy St. John, he's the technician that has our route or whatever and he's phenomenal. If I had to say, this is what I want as a consumer out of a pest control company, I couldn't add anything to what Randy does for us. He'd shoot a text to my wife when its time for our quarterly pest control. He doesn't call, he just use your free text, he schedules it with her. He's super nice. He always comes in and chit-chat to make sure we have no problem and then he just goes about his day. He does his stuff. He's usually here for about a half hour and super friendly. We had some ants in our kitchen, we have gone out of town for a few days and we haven't cleaned the kitchen out as well as we probably should have, no one was here. We came back, there were some ants in our kitchen, not a big deal, it was just a line of ants to some foods. We got home at 11 o'clock at night, I text Randy not thinking he would answer, just thinking he would see it in the morning. He saw it, I'll be there before 10 a.m. and he was here before 10 a.m. in the morning. Less than 10 hours from when I text him. I texted him in the middle of the night. He was here, killed the ants, came back later that day because the stuff he put in to kill the ants, he has to clean back-up. He came back later that day, cleaned it all up and was gone. He was apologetic that happened and he didn't do anything, we did it. We've had them for five years and we got a different technician one time. It was by design that they let us know that was going to happen. Every 24 months they rotate the technician just to let another technician see the other technician's route. I just shot Randy a text, I think I have something in my attic making a noise. I used them a few years ago, we have bats on the eaves of the house and they did a great job. I think I have a squirrel or something in my attic. He's great and funny. He's been in the pest removal business forever and he knew more about bats than I would ever care to know about bats. I've worked with large corporations before and we've tried to go with cheaper vendors to do things like pest control, the level of professionalism is different. I mean they always show up in a branded clean truck. They always have on clean using, always looking very sharp and they just always look impressive. When you think about it, they kill bugs but they're always professional and clean. Its just a good service."

"Both crews were very professional and arrived on time. Both jobs took less time than estimated, and the work was done very professionally. Care was taken to avoid marking or damaging the home interior and post-job cleanup was good. The results are dramatic. Our formerly furnace-hot attic is now usable storage space. Our upper level rooms are much more comfortable during hot weather. Our heat pump is not having to run nearly as much. I expect our next electric bill to be substantially lower. <br />"

"The service was top notch. The tech showed up on time and was very professional. They were checking for moisture after I had a leak in my foundation and also did a mold test. We have a toddler in the house and were worried about mold issues in the house after the leak. The results came back quickly from the test and they were able to answer my questions about the results. Overall, I could not have had a better experience and it was great for my piece of mind."

"Brian Mills and his people did an awesome job. My house went from a system that would not even cool the whole house to total comfort through out the house. Not only was I comfortable but my house no longer has a moisture problem and my utility bills are reasonable. <br />"

"I hired LCS because I knew my crawlspace was in desperate need of repair. Nico was able to get to my home the next day, complete a full inspection with photos, and I received my quote within 24 hours. Nico and his team prioritized my home, getting the job done in one day. I can rest easy knowing the foundation of my home is up to date for the next 15 years. I would highly recommend LCS to others in the low country."

"The services were well-done and timely. The workers were easy to work with and pleasant to be around. They surveyed and analyzed the problems and gave a fair estimate of the cost to repair. They were a joy to work with!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Goose Creek, SC

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
