"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"The installer was very professional and adept at installing the blinds.  He completed all 7 windows in about 1 1/2 hours.  He brought his own large trash bag and put all of the trash into it. He had measured the windows several weeks before and had them cut to size at the store.  They all fit perfectly.  Lowes followed up by phone the next day to make sure everything was working all right and informed me that there is a 1 year warranty on the installation.  The entire process of ordering and installing the blinds was amazingly easy. The price was great and as a veteran I received a 10% discount which is greatly appreciated."

"They did a very good job. They were very good. I got nice products so they were a little bit higher in price. I didn't really compare them to a lot of other places. They weren't cheap but they had good quality so I guess their prices were good. They came in and made sure everything was fine, and that's important. I had several things done and I think they were priced off separately. I had some that were unusual so they had to custom do them, in terms of the windows' shapes that were different than normal sizes. Their responsiveness was great. Their installer was somebody I knew so that worked out well, and he was very flexible."

"Repairs were somewhat challenging due to age & condition of roof & ceiling, but in the end repairs were completed to my complete satisfaction. Mr. Hoffman was professional in every way--courteous, prompt, and humble. He also installed a door sweep & screendoor part, also to my satisfaction. I would recommend him anytime."

"I had the pleasure of working with Matt for our office in Silverthorne, and we loved the finished project. It was so easy that I decided to go through Summit Flooring for my own home. He had a lot of great choices and we ending up finding just the right carpet. Would recommend to anyone or business looking for new flooring."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Granby, CO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
