"Earlier this year, a different contractor installed an egress window well and cover. I was very unhappy with the height of the well and finishing details on the cover. An unfinished board was screwed directly to the siding and the cover was mounted to the board. Original contractor was not really interested in making it right. The only way to make it right was a total re-do. Ivan with A&H Home Improvement looked at it and provided a very fair and reasonable estimate to correct the original installation. He was able to schedule this job within a few weeks. The job involved completely digging out the well, replacing one section of siding, mounting a pvc board to the foundation slightly above the well, and mounting the cover to the pvc board. I am 1,000% (yes really 1,000% not just 100%) satisfied with the end result. Ivan was able to use the same well and cover so the cost of this project was basically labor and a few components (pvc board, screws, bolts). The end result is EXACTLY how I imagined it should look. I am very pleased and would definitely call A&H Home Improvement again for home repairs or future projects."

"call Holt around 11:30 the Lady on the phone was very professional and explained they had Rob in the area and would stop this afternoon. Robin arrived about 2:00 and we went to the unit to determine what my noise was. after running and shut down he explained the noise was normal because of the high heat and the fact my 6 year old unit was, a dirty. i asked him to check everything else out and clean the unit, during the checkup Robin discovered a capacitor was running out of range. he explained the cost and i decided to replace while he was here. he finished his testing and then we proceeded to my basement to check the air temps. he discovered we had a whole house fan that should be shut down in the winter, Robin went over my bill and explained their maintenance membership program. I was very pleased with my Holt experience from the first call to Dawn to meeting and having Robin in my home, a very professional approach to a time in the world where customer service is second to some company's."

"He was on time, friendly, and professional.  We took him up to the master bedroom space and he provided us with his opinion.  As anticipated per our phone-call, we did not find it prudent to go forward with the project. <br /> After taking him to our living room space, I was feeling a bit discouraged.  There were things that he advised needed repair, but his team would not do it.  Also the work I wanted in the room was cosmetic (new flooring, light demo, repainting, etc.) so that was things that they typically contracted out anyway.  It seemed as if he didn't think the job was a good fit for Red House.  <br /> I was disappointed, but I wouldn't let that interfere with his score; I think he was honest and up-front throughout the process. <br />"

"<p>They are very responsive when you call outside the normal appointments.  I have called when there are pests caught in trap which I did not want to deal with.  They came out quickly to take care of it.  </p> <p>Their two hour window of appointments is reasonable.  They normally come right on time.  They do tell you they will alert you if they will be late.  And, they are very responsive to changes.</p> <p>I live outside the Des Moines area which is about a fifteen minute extra trip time for them.  They have never complained or brought this up to be an issue.</p> <p>I have purchased another home and continue to use their services on both my homes on a short term basis.</p> <p>My only concern is their field staff are not full time employees which leads good staff moving on to better full time jobs.  I have worked with about four different service staff in the four years of working with them.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"After having a few negative experiences with contractors, what a surprise to work with a company that seems to do everything well. Albert came out to my house to give an estimate and I was sold almost immediately. Albert told me about my current shingles and that there had been a class action lawsuit. He offered to help me if I wanted to go after the company and then proceeded to tell me that I could probably get by for a couple of years if I wanted to go that route. I was so impressed with his knowledge and honesty that I decided to just pull the trigger and have them replaced. Albert told me that it would take three days. The first day there were 30mph winds so it wasn't safe for the crew to start work. Albert kept me in the loop and said they would start the next day. The job ended up taking two days including cleanup. The crew probably spent 3 hours cleaning up and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. Albert then followed up and spent an hour or so checking on their work and also doing another pass of cleaning up the nails. Replacing a roof is expensive and not an exciting way to spend your money but Action Roofing did a great job and I would highly recommend using them for roofing issues."
