"They built a beautiful 4 seasons room for us which included demo of existing deck and metal cover. They took care of everything from foundation with drainage, roof, walls, windows, doors, siding and all. Excellent suggestions, worked well through things and gave us a beautiful elegant new room at a reasonable price."

"Wes was amazing to work with. His products are top quality at a reasonable price. No wonder there are many home owners these days are working with him. He made it even better for us when he called me to let me know he can install the patio cover 2+ weeks ahead of our initial schedule. These made our weekend and the weeks that followed...Overall I would highly recommend working with Wes if anyone is thinking about putting a cover in their patio."

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Wooldridge construction did an excellent job with my ADU. We received several bids. They were not the cheapest, but over the course of the project they remained on budget and were very detail oriented. Their pre-construction renderings helped us make some important decisions we hadn’t thought of. Their design guidance was extremely helpful. Would definitely work with them again on future projects!"

"The entire huge bathroom of 100+ year old plus farmhouse had never been seriously remodeled. Everything they did was first, done to get the best bang for the buck. Never once did they look at a problem and make suggestions that tossed the ball back into my court. No matter what nightmare was uncovered in the first rounds, Darren took it in stride and suggested the best solution. In "best solution" I mean the most expedient use of time and materials without compromising the quality of the work or the end product. When they take on a job, make sure you are ready for someone to get in and get it done. They do not drag it out. They have a schedule and everything gets done as explained. The new bathroom is great and as soon as I can afford the next job, the kitchen is being replaced. Hire this contractor with confidence, Doerhing's work ethic is the company ethic and his standards are what make the difference."

"Mr. Hubbard used the best materials for everything.  He took the old roof off, and replaced it with the best metal roofing and the best insulation underneath.  He also extended the roofing down over our wood shed next to the garage.  A new gutter and down spout was also installed of the best materials.  He did an excellent job and it's sealed tight throughout.  It has rained and there is absolutely no leak whatsoever.  The roof also needed a facial board and all wood surfaces were painted really good.  All materials were disposed of properly.  Mr. Hubbard did a very neat operation.  <br /> On another job he's done for us, he made our back and front stairs.  They are built like a bridge.  Incredible job done.  We love all the work he has done for us.  He also has put awnings on our home over some windows.  Very nice job and we love them. <br />"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"Michael and his crew showed up on time and worked diligently for three days to complete the task. He and family are very professional and conscientious. I was impressed enough that I recommended him to a friend in Ashland who has a much larger house requiring considerably more prep work before painting. Michael is now working on that house. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Grants Pass, OR

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
