"Updated Review November 2025: Upon my previous concerns, HGE escalated my project to Hunter, who took care of everything with great professionalism. Any issues were resolved and the work is as expected. I'm a much happier client now! He also had a great experience, so when we were preparing to list my husbands home and found ourselves needing to replace a deck roof that started leaking and replace some trim, we went straight to HGE. This time has been a terrible experience. Our project manager was different and just horrible. The crews cancelled on him more than once, his communication was severely lacking, and the work was subpar, far below our previous experiences. Big disappointment. "Amazing group of repair professionals. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman Pittsburgh East. The deck on my house needed to be replaced. Rick, the Project Manager, and Todd, Chuck, Shawn and Jack, the service techs who worked on the deck, were excellent, very professional and neat, cleaning up every day. When I started talking with Rick about this project, I thought it wasn't going to possible for me to have everything taken care of in one undertaking. I must admit that cost was the major stumbling block. The deck is large and lumber/material costs took my breath away. But Rick worked with me, adjusting the materials and the design and making suggestions to help me make it happen! The deck was completed yesterday and I couldn't be happier. He offered a very good price that was almost half the price of other estimates that I received. His workers were very professional, personable, and did a superb job from start to finish. "We recently bought a new house, and needed a few smaller repairs done, along with a huge privacy fence installed for our dogs. Aaronson Repairs was very prompt with their response to our inquiry. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated well so I always knew what to expect. The small repairs were completed almost immediately, and the fence was completed as soon as the material came in. The guys who came worked really hard, and the fence was complete ahead of schedule. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount of work. We got wood fencing along the sides of our yard, and aluminum fencing along the back. It looks better than I could have imagined. They were even thoughtful enough to ask whether our dogs were diggers, and helped to reinforce the bottoms of the fence. We will be calling for our next renovation project, and would highly recommend them to others."

"Hire them! Highly recommend this company. Not only did Jon call me back the same day as my inquiry, but he also came out to give us an estimate the same day. Estimate was accurate. The job was completely finished in less than 2 weeks from the first communication. Jon and Rob were professional from start to finish. They showed up on time everyday and also cleaned up everyday before leaving. The finished block walls are absolutely beautiful and all of our neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. "My husband and I were looking for a qualified carpenter who could take on all aspects of a major bathroom renovation except for laying the tile because we already had a tile guy to do that.  The positive reviews on Angie's List led us to Galen.  The fact that he could also do electrical and plumbing was a bonus.  His endless knowledge and abilities exceeded our expectations and we were very pleased with his work.  He always arrived on time, put in a full day's work, and cleaned up before leaving. Our master bathroom is beautiful and looks and functions like something you would find at a resort spa.  We have him on "speed dial" and will definitely call him again for any major or minor repairs our house may need.  We look forward to working with him again in the near future.
