"No call / no show for 1st appointment (due to weather). I called and rescheduled for 2 days later which he showed up on time. Inspection was a bit of a joke, didn't have ladder tall enough to view chimney cap (time of setting up appointment told it was 2 story house). He looked at items from the inside. We had never used fireplace and strictly trying to repair a cosmetic thing yet still required to pay an inspection fee that he spent 15 mins looking at our setup. Received the quote price was double 3x the rate of another company that came and looked at it for free. His price for stainless cap was more than others were charging for Copper! Rates were nearly double what the new angie's list "pricing guide" suggested."

"After reviewing our situation CFS recommended we contact a brick mason to rebuild the support columns. His conclusion was that it would not be a good investment to utilize their services for the repair I needed. He also surveyed our fireplace and attached porch and noted potential areas to keep and eye on.
No pressure at all to contract for services, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided good background information for us to understand what had caused the problems (ground settling) and how to monitor for future changes.
While we did not contract with CFS I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future.
"

"We hired DH Construction about 2.5 years ago to reside the entire house, new roof, trim work etc. Since that time we have had DH Construction out a couple of times to address minor issues. One that was created by HVAC service and Brian's guys came out replaced the siding and a couple small pieces of trim at no cost to us!
The latest was to repair some water damage above the garage door created by a piece of flashing not positioned correctly. I contacted Brian and emailed a few pictures showing the issue. We scheduled a date and time that Brian and his team would meet with us. After seeing the issue and the cause his team went to work resolving the problem at no cost to us. The problem is now
resolved and looks like it did when the job was completed 2.5 ago.
The service we have received from DH Construction has been excellent from day one and still now 2.5 years later. This type of service confirms our first impression of Brian that he is an honorable and trust worthy man that I highly recommend.

"

"Initially Great! Jason came out and was very honest and knowledgeable. He shared what he would recommend to help with my structural damage / cracks and promptly sent out a report. After I made my decision to secure their services the contact was lacking. A timeline or update would of put my mind at ease between the time they received the deposit and the actual services started. The work started and each day there was progress. Totally pleased. The final walk through: - Had a sticking door and was shown a trick to correct that by placing a rag in the door jam, the soil placed back in the ground was lumpy and full of brick/stone, brick mortar was not the right color but thought it would just lighten as it dried. A few months later...the mortar is definitely not the right color, there isn't a strap to hold down my downspouts and one of the downspouts fell off. I haven't contacted the company to correct as I will just live with the color and rig my own downspouts. The great news is I feel secure about the foundation work.
"

"Andy was wonderful from start to finish. He showed up at the house, surveyed the project, and quoted a price. The day the job started he arrived with his crew and outlined some instructions with them. When I sneaked a peek around the corner to see how things were going I felt like I'd walked into a "clean room" for a chip processing plant. Everything was covered in plastic to protect my room. The workers did an excellent job, I didn't find any little drops of paint anywhere - very unlike other painters I've used in the past. When the crew was done, Andy came back to check on the job. I especially appreciated the fact that a crew supervisor was introduced to me, and stayed at the site during the work. The finished product is beautiful, and I could not be any happier. I would absolutely recommend Rainbow to anyone, and in fact have several projects coming up that I'm actually looking forward to having done."

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair. The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time.
Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot.
I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction.
WRS

"

"I'd like to start by saying that the finished product looks pretty good but the process to get there was a chore.
The major problems were:
1. Just before we signed the contract, the owner of Contour Construction had verbally promised that steps would be taken to protect our home during demolition/construction; specifically plastic put up to minimize dust migrating to other rooms and existing hardwood floors would be protected from damage. Neither of those were done. Consequently, our entire house was full of dust and the existing hardwood floors were severly damaged. As of today there has been no contact from the owner to resolve the issue of the damaged floors. He just left them as is.
2. Another unfulfilled promise was that someone would be on the site to supervise the individual workers. That did not happen either. The owner was good about letting us know when someone was coming to the house but they would arrive alone and unsupervised. Many times the work was done well. However, there were instances where the work had to be redone. This could have been avoided if there was someone there to oversee the quality of the work. Plus, since the owner was rarely on-site during the renovation he had to rely upon the word of his worker(s) who, on a couple of occasions had deliberately misinformed him avoid admitting mistakes!
3. The contracted time period was listed as 3-4 weeks, starting July 1. The last worker left the second week of September; that's 10 weeks! Much of that was the result of poor planning and work having to be redone.
In summary the owner of this company probably considered me overly demanding but I wasn't about to ignore shodding workmanship just to avoid "making waves". My philosphy was what would a potential buyer see when s/he looked at the bathroom. With oversight the work would have been done right the first time and this project could have been completed within the contracted time frame.
Our theory is that Contour Construction had taken on more work that they could handle at the time and that our project was low on their priortiy list. Again, I believe that the problems we encountered could have been avoided by first, the owner fulfilling the promises he made and second the work had been supervised by someone who had a committment to quality.
These were our experiences with Contour Construction. Perhaps someone else would have better luck with them. My suggestion would be get every detail no matter how trivial in writing with no verbal promises as well as being assertive and stopping work immediately if a provision of the contract was not being followed especially workers that are not being supervised.

"
