"My washer was leaking. Larry was the only one that responded to me at all. He was polite and professional. Unfortunately, the necessary repairs could not be made, so I do have to buy a new one. If anything happens to any of my other appliances, I will call him again."

"There was a hiccup with a part, no fault of Action Appliance but this company is receiving an A+ rating from me and I highly recommend them if you ever need appliance repair. Their professionalism from start to finish cannot be matched. The customer receives email notification every single step of the way and the Technicians are friendly and know their stuff. I can not say enough how pleased I am! Thank you so much to all the Tom’s who made my experience beyond pleasant. I appreciate you all so very much!!"

"It went great and I left Harmond and Neli a great review on the chat survey that I wish I had copied to past here as I wrote everything I felt about the Tech and the company and it was all good. I will be using the Neli services again when any of my appliances need attention / repair. Thank You Neli."

"Chris was extremely professional, easy to work with in finding a convenient time that worked for both us and very knowledgable. He also provided helpful tips on some preventable maintenance and cared more about doing the job right than trying to sell you on having to spend more money. Will definitely hire him again for any appliance issues in the future!"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Greenwich, CT

You should hire an experienced plumber for major repairs like persistent leaks, electrical faults, or complete unit replacements, as these issues require expert diagnostics and installation. For minor problems like clogs or small jams, a certified and insured handyperson can often handle the repair safely. Hiring a professional ensures the repair is done correctly, maintaining your appliance's performance and helping prevent future issues.

A garbage disposal lasts between eight and 15 years when properly maintained. Factors like frequency of use, regular cleaning, and following manufacturer guidelines can influence its lifespan. Higher-end models with stainless steel components typically last longer than budget units with galvanized components. Routine maintenance helps prevent early failures and keeps your disposal running smoothly. Avoiding problematic materials like fibrous vegetables, coffee grounds, and grease can significantly extend your disposal's operational life and efficiency.

Your garbage disposal may clog when food particles, especially fibrous or starchy materials, build up around the grinding components and block the normal flow. Dense foods like potato peels, rice, or pasta can cause blockages, especially if not flushed through with enough cold water. Regular cleaning and proper use can help prevent clogs and keep your disposal running smoothly.

Garbage disposals impact the environment by reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and by using electricity when operating. By grinding up organic waste, they decrease the volume of waste that would otherwise produce methane emissions in landfills. While they consume some energy, using efficient models and following recommended practices can manage this usage. With responsible use, garbage disposals can be an eco-friendly option.
