"They called me immediately after I contacted HomeAdvisor and came out the next day. On the first visit, they took care of the pest problem and on the second visit made repairs to keep the problem from happening again. Very reasonable price for all the work that they did."

Customers say: True professional

"Christopher is honest and forthright. He did an excellent job on the work that needed done. He didn’t oversell his services, quoting just what we needed. We haven’t heard any more bats in our walls. It’s not the most fun thing to spend money on, but if you have to get this work done, I would definitely call Patriot Wildlife Removal."

"My service experience with Reliable Pest Control was very positive. Aaron visited my home and was very knowledgeable on evaluating the issue and best treatment methods to take care of the pest issues I have been facing. He even gave feedback on a few items that I had not noticed. He is very friendly and willing to talk through any questions. I would highly recommend him and his company for pest control services."

"There was an animal in our kitchen wall, scrambling to get out - it sounded like a baby squirrel. The owner - Art - came right on time to the house. He quickly identified the problem as well as its source: a bird had fallen behind the gutters on the back of our house into the wall, so he cut a very small hole in the wall at the base (just big enough for a bird), and coaxed it out into a cage, then set it free in the yard. Then he nailed the gutter board back into the roof, so this couldn't happen again. Perfect!

"Austen replied to this nerve-racking situation within moments of my reaching out on the Angi app and was gracious enough to work me into his busy Sunday. The outcome was affordable and he provided levels of treatment so that one could address the most pressing and/or more long term solutions to the raccoon nuisance. His roof inspection yielded excellent gratis info that one of the chimney caps had been gnawed at and pushed askew by a furry friend. Now that’s what you hope to get from any service provider: insight into potential entry by small animals before it happens. All this and immediate action for $329."

"Everything that was promised during the first investigation visit were done. Actually I got one better, after the opossum was captured and removed, the traps were left two more days and we caught a big raccoon."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Greenwood, IN

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
