"My home is 50 years old and has a 5ft. by 10 ft. marble entry.  This is varying pieces of broken marble connected by grout.  Although we had never applied wax, there was old wax and dirt, so they cleaned that first.  Then they started polishing with increasingly finer grit of a diamond polishing compound.  When they were done I could not believe how shiny the floor was.  However, I pointed out that about 2 inches all around the edge was quite dull.  They tried to spot shine it, but it remained dull and they said that was the best they could do.  I let it go for a couple of days and then decided I paid way too much for the edges to look like that.  My feeling was if they could get the body of the floor to look so good, surely they could do better on the edges.  I emailed the company and promptly got a call that they would be back.  They ended up coming back twice and spending more time than they originally did.  They ended up doing the whole floor over again.  I was very pleased with the end result.  The point I want to make is that I'm more interested when a customer is not happy and to see how the issue is handled.  Ultimately, that is the true picture of how good a business is, how they handle problems.  My calls and concerns were promptly and courteously addressed, and they did everything they could to make me happy with the results.  Now the whole entry looks fabulous, even the edges. I would not hesitate to use them again.

"It was not a quick process because of the water damage and waiting on the cabinets we picked out to ship but overall it was a great experience. Brian, Carlos & Joe were the main workers we had at the house - they were respectable, polite, and very informative - making sure we understood each step of the process. Brian started with the dirty work of removing the water damage, repairing drywall, replacing subfloors, installing laminate plank flooring, adding can lights, and fixing our lose electrical boxes. The cabinets we picked had to be assembled which took a day of work and then Carlos stepped in to complete the cabinets, build our countertops, install baseboards, add hardware, and basically put everything in place. Joe did an amazing job on our tile, AMAZING! We picked a hand sculpted glass tile that was a bit more tedious than we expected but Joe worked his magic and really made the kitchen, the tile is everything I hoped it would be and more - it's the focal point and looks fabulous. Brian helped to finish up the plumbing to get us back in business and Carlos has been worked to wrap up the little details and honey do list of things that needed completed to give our kitchen the finished touch. Everything turned out so well - we did not replace a set of upper cabinets to open the space more and added in a pantry - both Doug's ideas, we are so glad we listened because it changed the whole dynamic of our home. We also went with another of Doug's ideas and added in a breakfast bar which we are loving.
Doug was on top of the project the whole time, keeping us updated and checking in nearly daily. We liked that he let his workers be in charge of the day to day activity though, it made things flow well and allowed us the ability to schedule the next steps with them directly, which worked well with our schedule. Not having done anything like this before was scary but we felt confident in Doug and trusted his word and he proved that he knows what he is doing!
The only real issue we had was with 2 contractors who said they came to our home to work but never showed up, that was an extremely frustrating situation and we thought it would set us back even farther in the time line but Doug stepped up and sent others out right away. It was a frustrating situation for him too but he made it right and got things rolling in the midst of it all. We were very appreciative of his extra effort, especially in a situation that was out of his control. 
We have recommended Leawood Kitchen and Bath to many already and will continue to do so - we will also be using them again in the future as we do more home upgrades. The pricing was fair and below cost for the other estimates we got and the work is quality! Doug's honesty and ideas were a breath of fresh air for us in our messy kitchen, which is now our favorite room in the house!!!"

"The job itself was done to perfection (for instance, bathroom tiles are squared up exactly, countertops are cut and installed well, etc.). He cleaned up immaculately every day and took extreme care with house owner belongings. For instance, when moving around the house, he made sure his tools and work were clear of property. "When rehabbing our new home, we contacted Castle Rock for a bid on new windows, soffit, and fascia board.  The salesperson, Matt, responded immediately to our request to meet and review the various product options.  He was punctual, very courteous, and knowledgeable about the full array of products the company carries.  In addition to printed materials describing the products, the software he had that allowed us to compare various options, styles, pricing, etc. was very helpful.  Matt came to the house two more times as we explored various options for replacing the existing windows and looking at various configurations that would fir in the existing casements and where we were replacing a door with windows.  His knowledge and experience were invaluable to us from a design perspective while working toward "the look" we wanted for the home.  We then went to the showroom and met with the Manager, Jamie.  He was also very helpful and showed us all of the options and styles we were considering "hands-on".  We did look at other companies but decided working with Castle Rock was our best option.  Matt ordered all of the windows and other materials and everything arrived within the scheduled time frame.  Matt worked with our General Contractor to arrange for the materials to be delivered and installed in a manner that facilitated the project staying on track and not disrupting other contractors.  The windows arrived and were perfectly installed on the date promised.  The installers did an excellent job.  The soffit and fascia work went similarly and we had discussions with Matt about some ways to improve the installation as the job was underway and the work order was adjusted accordingly.  After all the work was complete, we ran into two minor issues.  With the heat and drought, a couple pieces of the soffit separated slightly due to the backing to which they were attached moving.  We called Matt, he came and looked at it, and a repair was completed within a week on the day he promised.  The work looks perfect again.  We also had a small circular ding in one of the windows (possibly from debris hitting it during a storm?).  When we called Matt and asked him how to proceed with the warranty, he told us how to find the serial number on the window and to call the office.  They ordered the replacement window that day under the warranty.  It arrived quickly and we went and picked it up and installed the replacement-a perfect fit.  Start to finish, Matt and his colleagues at Castle Rock did a great job for us and they will always be our first choice for the types of services they provide that we may need."

"He did the work, then the concrete developed chotes, I called him, he came out, and he told me that they would be back to do some touch-up work.  I have called him over 5 times and he tells me that they will come out to fix the problem. It has been over 7 months of consistent contact and they still have not fixed the problem.

After my complaint, John sent someone to repair the defect and it is repaired to the best of their ability and as well as could be expected."
