"Overall, Tom was personable, professional, and he got the job done fairly easily. I trusted his judgment in what kind of mounting hardware to use into the wall -- which was probably the one issue I had with how things went. Mr Handyman only provides their labor; the customer needs to provide ALL materials, which initially was challenging because the guy that I spoke to on the phone said that I had to wait until their guy arrived to even know what parts to get! He said the handyman would tell me what to get, and I'd need to go to the store -- while the guy is at my house -- and get the mounting hardware! (As a side note ... who would leave their house with someone they don't know inside it?). But then when I protested on the phone, he suggested I go to Home Depot and ask them, and get what they suggested (which made me wonder ... I'm hiring them for THEIR knowledge, right??). So my solution, which was the least painful in my mind, was to go to the hardware store and buy multiple different mounting options, and have them available for their guy to choose from (after which, I'll take the ones he didn't use back to the store). The only other point was the price, which, to explain ... Mr Handyman is a bit on the high side, because they charge for a full hour in addition to their service fee, even though Tom was only actually working at my house for about 30-40mins."

"Tom was excellent to work with.  My bathroom ceiling had extensive water damage.  Rather than just repair the damage, Tom proposed to remove entire ceiling and install new greenboard and exhaust fan.  He also replaced the drywall on a large area of the wall which was also damaged.  The door and moldings were also water-damaged, so he replaced those as well.  All of the work was flawless.  Tom is very meticulous about his work.  He communicates well and was a pleasure to work with.  I would definitely recommend him for any project and would not hesitate to hire him again for other projects I may have coming up. <br />"

"We chose him for the work because he has expertise in older homes and especially in brick work. He has done a variety of work for us and we have been happy with the cost. The owner, Michael Condon, he came out, looked at the job, and gave us several solutions at different price options for the porch. We weren't exactly sure how we had wanted to move forward with the project and he gave us several different options. We chose a plan somewhere in the middle. The work is very solid. He is a real and a very conscientious. If you want something done in the way that it is completely correct and aesthetically pleasing, he is the person to go to. He stays busy with his work. When he takes on a little job, he will place the work in between his large jobs. For example, when the weather delays him on a large project, he will call to see if he can come and do the small job for us that day. He is good about staying in contact and is always there when he say he will be. The porch that he made was brand new, but he made it to look like it belonged to an older house. He has done a great job on all of the work we have had him do for us. We will be hiring him for additional work."
