Scott's company washed the mortar stains off the brickwork, ground out the old mortar (someone used tile grout!) and then tuck-pointed all the bricks back to spec. Then they went around the bottom of the house and restored the decorative trim to like-new color and smoothness. Scott is extremely courteous, timely, and does what he says he will do. I'm proud to suggest him to you and to my friends."

"Only one side of the driveway culvert walls was damaged by a careless driver. When he came to estimate the job, I specifically asked Gavin to be sure to match the mortar to the undamaged wall so that there would be no color difference. The day he came to do the repair job I again asked him about the mortar matching and simply responded that he was using 'X mortar' (I don't remember the name). Just as he was close to finishing up the job I was called away to the hospital on a family emergency but looked at the work before I left and told Gavin I was afraid the mortar wouldn't match but he said it would darken over time so I thought it would be OK. However, when I returned home a few days later I found that several of the cobblestone blocks had not been reset (they were laying loose next to the wall) and the dried mortar now looked almost white....nothing like the sandy color of the undamaged wall. I had paid him in full for the job before I had to quickly leave and between time I spent at Johns Hopkins and less than 24 hours/wk at home for a period of months, I tried to contact the company but to no avail. It has been two years and I'm still waiting for the mortar to darken....this experience was an extreme disappointment."

"Eric Shrieves and the whole Serenescapes crew did an excellent job installing our patio. Notable qualities are (1) quality of work, (2) value for price, and (3) flexibility. I'll explain each in turn. The Serenescapes crew took their time, and carefully installed/ laid out the timbers, patio slope, trims, and the patterns of pavers. Where the patio met the door sills, and the outdoor stairs bottom step riser, they took time to cut additional trim so that the overall appearance was top notch. I appreciated this attention to detail. I selected Serenscapes because I sensed from the initial consultation that while they were not the least expensive or most expensive bid I had received for this project, they would provide the most value. Looking at the quality of the work, I was proven correct. Second, the worksite was always kept neat, which is very important to me.. After the job was done, the yard was seeded and covered with straw."

Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. I needed Joe and his son Tony on two occasions over the past two months.  Each time, I was met with friendly, on time service and very fair pricing.  Joe is very conscientious about doing a good job, and I like the chemistry he and his son have.  They work well together, fast and efficient.

Joe takes great pride in his work.  Of course, I'm in a rush to get things done, but after a particularly rainy weekend, Joe completed half my job one day and recommended that I wait two more days to let the bricks dry out as the humidity and moisture in the bricks were making the job look presentable but not right.  Joe wanted to do it right, which I respect.

I would use Brick Solutions again and again, and I would have no problem referring them to anyone else.

The guys that showed up were great, very friendly, and ready to answer any questions I had.  They did their work quickly and cleaned up afterwards.  They also got me an extra discount on the repairs.

There were no high pressure sales pitch or scare tactics used.    There was no bait and switch or 'limited time offers'  to push the sale along.

The front office person I dealt with could have made more of an effort.  The day of my repairs, I was called and told the Credit Card Machine was not working, so I would have to pay by check, or my appointment would have to be changed to another day.  I was then called back after several minutes and told that a post-dated check would be acceptable if funds were not currently available.  I understand that the Credit Card System was being changed over, but there should have been some thought put into this before calling anyone.
