"M&E Construction (general contractor and owner Marc) was horrible in every way from the very start. EVERY step of the project was screwed up by either Marc or his subcontractors. There is not enough room in this text box to describe the multitude of problems I had. The cost was exorbitant for what they did, the errors started from the very beginning with the ARCHITECT, deadlines were not met and extended way past the time I was told it would be done, to name just a few of the problems. I could go on and on and on. My next grievance is with Angi's List. Don't you vet these people? This guy is a con artist and a scammer/grifter. I would appreciate a call from someone in management (not just a customer service rep) to discuss the nightmare this project has been. The only reason I gave a 1-star rating is because I couldn't leave no stars or actually negative stars. I am HUGELY disappointed in Angi's List for doing business with this man. "

We had contracted Matrix in February to finish our basement, our salesman did a very good job taking the time to lay everything out give us our options and meet our vision the follow-up appointment to finalize went well and the gentleman really had a good knowledge of everything that needed to be done. The biggest problem we had was with the project manager and some of the trades that were brought in. The framers and finish carpenters did a wonderful job however the failures were many and project management was substandard for spending over six figures on a project. The damage that was caused to the finished portion of our house, walls, door jams garage door frame and other building errors that were made on electrical and plumbing were not addressed or handled appropriately unless I had said something to our project manager . Even then they just ignored my request and I had to pay my own painter to fix the damages that Matrix caused . The overall mismanagement of the project is what brought me to the point where I had to be the intermediary for the trades as the project manager was never on site or didn't pick up or return calls in any sort of Timely manner. This is what I am paying Matrix to handle and clearly that fell short! They framed the tub incorrectly leaving gaps where the wall studs didn't get to the ceiling, electrical switch boxes that were not secured so when the spray foam was installed and pushed the box out of the way causing repairs needed to be made, the plumber installed the wrong color drain and glued it in place they're causing an issue where if they tried to remove it and snapped the pipe under the tub they would have to gut the bathroom again and we were on a tight timeline as we were getting married the week after the project was supposed to be completed. When they sprayed our ceiling the painter left four five gallon buckets uncovered in the basement causing the house to smell to the point where it was 90° outside and we had to leave all our windows open oh yes and by the way had we not covered them up after they left they would have had to buy all new materials. When the spray foam portion of the project was to take place we were told to have nobody in the home so we put the dogs in a kennel they were supposed to be there at 8:00 a.m. they did not show up till 3:45 p.m. not getting completed till almost 9:00. "It went great! The crew that did the work were diligent and professional, polite and courteous, respectable to me personally, to my home. They did a great job of cleaning everything up when the job was done. We had a couple of little kinks. They were taken care of quickly with apologies. The completed new bathroom is even more beautiful than I could have anticipated. Gorden was easy to work with. He explained everything and helped with decisions. He is respected by his crew. I'm completely pleased with the work performed. When I'm ready for another project G.R. Construction Co will get my call. Thanks Gordy and your crew for my beautiful new bathroom."

"Remodel went extremely well even with material delays (not ordered through Rowe construction.) They were able to pivot and work on different areas of this extensive remodel. This crew showed up every day and notified us if they were not going to come or if they were delayed.They also pointed out and/or were able to troubleshoot areas of design that wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing. In addition, they cleaned up the interior each day and regularly picked up construction waste placed in the garage during this process."

"We had them redo a Frankenstein-esque back patio that came with the house, and added in a walkway to the side sidewalk and a new magnolia tree with a planter. The work took longer than either of us expected, but that is most likely due to their relatively small size. I don’t mind helping out small, local businesses, and these folks are certainly worthy. They did an excellent job and a reasonable price."
