"This isnâ t my project but my mom desperately needed work done. She had not updated her home since Hurricane Andrew! She was very resistant to make any changes but stuff was starting to fall apart. She agreed to fix up the kitchen but I wasnâ t going to have enough time to oversee the project and sheâ s divorced. I needed someone that would make her feel comfortable and would work within her budget. I talked to a bunch of other contractors but we just couldnâ t find a good fit. Admittedly we didnâ t know EXACTLY what we needed. I found Ramon through a friend that spoke very highly of him. Ramon was a godsend! I canâ t imagine anyone else would have managed to deal with us. He was very (emphasis on the very) patient and transparent the whole process. We started off with the kitchen but eventually moved to the rest of the house. Great end product and I couldnâ t imagine going through this process with anyone else. Mom has been so so happy and she canâ t believe she didnâ t do this sooner! If youâ re thinking about doing any repairs or updates then donâ t hesitate. Heâ s easy to talk to and has your best interest in mind."

"This job was a total replacement of the front of my home due to hurricane/water damage. Jay was very responsive and helpful as I was dealing with my insurance company. He knew what my budget was and his proposal was quite fair. His team were great however, there was a bit of a language barrier. The contractor's son was able to help through that. Some of the work had to be re-worked but overall I am happy with the work they did to repair my home. Jay's team were quick to respond to any punch list items after completion. "On August 1, 2024, I entered into a formal Construction Agreement with VOLCA LLC (License CRC 1333518), represented by sales person, for a significant interior renovation project. The agreement was a fixed-price contract, with a total Contract Price of $78,814.56, clearly defined in Section 3 of the Agreement. This price was based on VOLCA LLC's Estimate #199, dated August 1, 2024, which detailed the scope of work, including Builder's responsibility for labor and most materials (e.g., paint, drywall materials, etc., except specific tile noted)."

"Overall I was very happy with the install of the ceramic tile until the next day. The haze didn't come off. We washed and washed, cleaned the water, scrubbed and washed even more. Used vinegar and water, googled the problem for solutions and finally had to hire a floor cleaning company to come in and treat the floor with an acid to breakup the grout haze. Was told they didn't change the water and clean their sponge nearly enough. Now the floor looks great after paying another $250 to have the floor cleaned. Next time I will pay closer attention."

"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."
