Chris, the owner, reviewed my project needs, suggested block style and color, described the process in detail and provided an estimate.  To ensure I would be satisfied with the color choice, he directed me to another project he completed in my area where the same block was used.  The selection was perfect and I hired Artistic Landscapes. 

The crew arrived on time and completed the project as planned. Chris was on site throughout the project to answer any questions I might have and to ensure all was on track.  The effort entailed removal of the existing flagstone wall, digging and setting a base, and removal of left-over flagstone and soil. They also had to accommodate my gutter drainpipe, and I was impressed with their solution. The team was professional, well organized and efficient.

It looks great!  I have no hesitation recommending this company!

"I hired Luke to fill windows wells that we wanted to eliminate. He was thorough in explaining the process to me and was even able to give me a bid using pictures I had sent him (due to COVID-19 we were/are trying to reduce exposure). So many of our home projects that we have tackled with contractors have had some sort of issue (joys of a fixer upper). However, this project went off without a hitch. "I think they are wonderful. They are fast and the quality of work is great! I would definitely hire them again a recommend them to other. My only complaint was that I'm experiencing some heaving on the paved walkway. It started about 6 months after the install, but I have not yet contacted Better Yards to see about a repair. I'm sure they will be able to help me, since they were so nice during the install. If you hire these folks, you will NOT be disappointed."

"These folks were always available to take my calls and answer any questions I had regardless of an email or phone call. If I had to leave a voicemail it was always promptly returned. They were on time for all appointments. When they worked, they were clean and did not leave a mess after each day. They kept me informed during the whole project. "If you are looking for paver patios, the installers are great. They did a very nice job, and were professional throughout. They would clean up every day before leaving, addressed any questions we had timely and we are very satisfied with the results. We also added a gazebo to our patio design. It was very clear that gazebo's are not one of their strengths. We encountered many issues with the design and build of the gazebo long before construction began. We had hired Josh in October to complete all elements of the landscaping project the following spring. Over the winter months, we had asked on many occasions for catalog photos, or anything that would confirm what the finished gazebo was going to look like. The pictures were never sent and the only indication of what it might look like came just a few days before the project began and was a very small (1x1) black and white picture. Our expectation of the gazebo was that the material used would be cedar. We had asked for glass windows that could be closed during the cooler and winter months. We were assured on many occasions that cedar material and glass windows were what we were going to get. As they were starting to build the gazebo, the material was not cedar, rather it was pressed wood. As the windows were installed, they were not glass (despite being told that very day they were glass), instead they were a plastic film over the screens. We were left in a very difficult position where we were essentially forced to concede on both elements. While the gazebo is functional, and will suit our needs, had Josh sent just ONE picture sometime in the 5 months or so prior the project start, we may have been able to make a different decision. Related, and something else to be aware of. When trying to reach Josh about start dates, etc I would say he was not always as responsive as I would have expected. Furthermore, there were multiple instances where what was promised was not delivered. Again, if you are looking at a paver or patio project - these guys are great and I would recommend their workmanship. However beware of anything more than that."

"The project was completed on time and turned out well. We have a boulder wall and the new boulders are much bigger and should stay in place. The workers were experts, very impressive. The only snag was that the machinery cut the sprinkler line and getting someone out to fix that is proving to be very sdifficult"

"Tom and his crew repaired our crumbling brick chimney and cap. They were professional, quick, and the work looked great at the end. They did have an issue with the cap partially washing out prior to setting due to a surprise torrential downpour, but they returned the next day and fixed the issue. I would hire them again."
