"Great experience. Harmond W diagnosed the issue within the first 10 minutes of our interactive video session. He immediately followed up with the part number of the part which had likely failed and a link to Sears PartsDirect to order the part. After our session I removed the wall oven from the kitchen cabinet enclosure, found the suspected part, and confirmed it had indeed failed (as we had discussed during our session. I just ordered the part, and will plan to complete the oven repair when it arrives in a week or so. I'll definitely plan to use this Neli service again when needed."

Between the time of troubleshooting and the actual repair, the refrigerator continued to deteriorate. When Andrej, the service man, arrived for repair, I informed him of the additional problems. As it turned out the problem went from a solenoid issue to a main circuit board. Andrej quickly found that his supplier had the part in stock and immediately drove to the shop. Lo and behold he got the part, installed and checked it out and saved us from having everything in the refrigerator from spoiling. As a note, we found Andrej to be timely, very professional, and technically astute. It was a pleasure having him as out repairman."

"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

"I thought their estimate was excessive and declined to have them do the work. I think they overestimated the time this job would take. I ended up doing the work myself and it didn't take as me as long as was suggested and I'm not a professional. "My freezer went out in the middle of the week, and after calling a couple of other places, I was pleased to find that SOS could send someone out as early as the next day.  The repairman was prompt, professional, and concise.  I noticed that he took his shoes off at the door without me asking, which I (and my hard wood floors) appreciated.  It was about 30 minutes worth of work, which he completed in 30 minutes.  I also appreciated the $20 instant discount for being an Angie's list member.  
I intend to call them again with any appliance issues in the future.
That being said, I rated price a B, not because it was high, but just a really small thing I'd like to see improved for the future. Up front I committed to a diagnostic fee in the event I did not accept the service ( which makes perfect business sense and provides assurance that I'm a serious customer), but the repairman quoted me a price ( only verbally) that perhaps came from his computer or his experience, but I think I would have felt a bit of assurance myself to have seen a listing of prices next to services. Again, small thing, I'd still recommend SOS to anyone."
