We contacted Tar Heel Basement Systems for help. Their project manager, John Dakonis met with us for a free consultation and signed us up to have the necessary work completed. Gary Hacker and Mathias Limas came to install an Intellijack Support System to lift and secure the flooring. They also repaired and replaced the rotten subflooring. These gentlemen were polite and concientious in their work, cleaning up each day so that we could access areas as needed. Their professionalism and patience in explaining each step of the process was truly appreciated! They Installed piers, beams,repaired some other problems that Arturo found after removing the insulation, replaced the insulation and vapor barrier. The floor is now level and firm. "Tim did a great job with the replacement of our water heater. Even though it was the day after Thanksgiving he moved some of his other appointments around to come to our home that afternoon. Tim and his assistant were careful to put on shoe covers in the house and to observe COVID 19 precautions. The job required more complicated plumbing since we have a desuperheater loop from our geothermal heat pump that connects to the water heater; the additional charge for this work was minimal. Tim was here until after 5:00 that evening, with the result that we had hot water over the weekend."

"It went fine.  I had one situation where they put vent on the top of the roof but on backwards and they replaced it. Overall, they did a good job cleaning it but that was a little reckless, I thought, a little careless. They did a good job cleaning the lint out but the only problem I had was the way they put the vent back on. "

Very well.  I feel so comfortable about the stability of my home.  Jim, the owner of the company, was always looking for the best and most reasonable way to solve a problem.  His crew was hard working and came to work when they said they would (except for the rainy periods of course).  The house was empty so they stayed at my home (so they could be close to the job) and kept very good care of it.

 It was an expensive repair but I believe I could not have found a better crew for the same price. Since I was out of state much of the time, they kept me informed at every step, which is helpful when you can not be there.
I definitely would recommend them for waterproofing but I was most impressed with their ability to do the structural reinforcement."
