Mobile Appliance Repair was my choice and I wasn't disappointed except for the fact that I will have to buy a new machine since the bearings are toast and any repair would not be worth it. "Jimmy Koehler from General Home Improvements (GHI) arrived Monday, 15 May on time as discussed and commenced working. Jimmy began by replacing the fascia board directly above the front porch steps and then proceeded to replace the frieze board on the right side of the porch. We had discussed replacing the left porch post, but Jimmy was able to repair it and saved us money in the process. On Tuesday, 16 May Jimmy finished the work on the porch, including priming the new boards, and then moved to the back deck. He replaced the side board on left side of the back door leading to the deck with a composite board and then moved on to replacing three deck boards that had rotted. Upon removing the board Jimmy discovered that some of the support boards underneath had also rotted and we ended up replacing five boards, which entailed removing the right side of our surround privacy partition that we had installed when we had a hot tub on the deck. In the end Jimmy had to remove two more deck boards for a total of five and then replaced the support?bracing underneath. The fifth board had to be ripped due to the space was about half of what the other boards measured. Since we were not putting in another hot tub Jimmy asked us if we wanted to open up the space and he built an addition to fit/mesh in with the other railing section. The work was excellent and the deck looks great. Jimmy Koehler is truly a Master Carpenter. If you want cheap then GHI is probably not for you, but if you want outstanding quality craftsmanship and a Master Carpenter to complete the work, for a good value, then call GHI. Our original agreement was for $800.00 plus materials. In the end, due to the extra deck work we paid $1400.00 plus $233.00 for materials for a total of $1433.00. In the future I will call Jimmy Koehler for all of our carpentry needs."

"First off, the electrician who came out was fantastic. Dan was on-time and got the work done without any issues. As you can select the person that comes out, I would highly recommend him to those who book on the site. He was also helpful in sorting out the billing issue... As has been noted by others, the pricing and the deal listed on here (service call and 30 minutes for $99) is not as clear as it should be. The company website has some additional costs that are easy to miss when you book and how it is written on the deal does not reflect that (or could be described as being a bit unclear and unspecified). They (through Dan's efforts) were able to knock off the materials cost when I paid, but I still had to pay an additional $29.50 for the fleet maintenance fee (at time of sale; this was later refunded). Again, this is unclear in the Angie's list deal and I imagine people miss this and the materials fee when they book as they assume the Angie's deal includes this. I spoke with the office after the service call to discuss the clarity of the deal for future customers, and said they would work with Angie's list to make this clearer in the deal, which I think has been the main issue other recent reviews have had a problem with. I would use their services again, but most likely just for larger electrical jobs."

"Arthur was polite and good professional. He gave me a very competitive price and  was very flexible with the appointment. When he learnt that it was a bit of emergency situation, he went out of the way to come in the evening and repair the washer. He was within 30 minutes of the appointment and diagnosed and fixed the problem in few minutes.  He gave me all the options for repair and gave me advise on the best course of action. He is very knowledgable mechanic and I would not hesitate to use his services anytime.
