"It went great! My house had an old split-rail fence that was starting to rot; sections were starting to fall over and it was beyond repair. I sent an e-mail to Doug at FBD Fence to get a replacement estimate, and he immediately replied and scheduled a time to swing by. After walking the perimeter and making some recommendations on gate placement and maintenance tips, Doug provided an estimate on the spot. The materials were dropped off in my driveway the weekend before the install, and the hard-working crew completed the tear down of the old fence and the installation of the new fence all in one day. Later that evening, another crew showed up to haul away the old fence materials. In one day, I went from having a crumbling fence to a brand new, beautiful fence with no hassle or headache. Doug swung by that evening to make sure I was happy with the work. Needless to say, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend FBD Fence. Doug and has crew are competent, caring, and competitively priced."

"We had a patio installed in our backyard. We met Bill from Sharper Cut at a home improvement show in Upper Marlboro. He was very professional from the beginning and scheduled a follow up meeting for us to come out and meet with him on that day. Before we had the meeting, he came out to the property to take pictures and see the layout. We had previously had a drawing which we sent him ahead of time. When we met with him, he had prepared several different options for a patio, including landscape. He listened intently to what we wanted and implemented it, including the seating wall, pillars and lights. He was very patient, showed the designs, modified them based on our questions and requests, and explained things very clearly. When there was a delay with a stone that we originally chose for the patio, he had us choose another stone to our liking, without making any adjustments to the price. The crew that did the work, showed up timely and were extremely professional. They would have been completed on time but got delayed because of rain storms that soaked the yard. However, as soon as it dried up they came out and finished the project. We are extremely pleased with the patio and all of our neighbors that come and see it, absolutely love it. I have recommended him to several of my neighbors and would encourage anyone looking for quality work to be done for them to consider Sharper Cut. They are awesome!!!!"

"A three-person crew showed on the day scheduled and completed the job within 4.5 work days (I was thinking 3 days). They were courteous and worked carefully around my plants and bushes. I am pleased with their workmanship and with the front office staff. The price was a driving factor in my decision and I believe I got very good value for the job needed. I have already recommended them to my neighbor who has been complimentary of the job FM did for me."

"The Village Carpenter, Mark L., did an excellent job rebuilding my deck. I had 10 long floor boards that were rotten and needed to be replaced. The deck looked somewhat the worse for wear and needed a fresh coat of stain. Mark gave me a detailed estimate right away. He noticed that some of the wood I had purchased had not been treated properly and so he took care of that on my behalf with out increasing the estimate. He removed all the old materials. The deck now looks brand new and I feel happy every time I go out on it. The best thing about all this was that he actually followed through and did things quickly and well for exactly what he had estimated. There was none of this "and when is he coming back to finish the job," which I've experience with other contractors. He works hard and well, is friendly and reliable, and does what he says he's going to do. He has also rebuilt my front steps which was a more complex operation that I'm also very happy with. "Well, the company did not replace the large tree that bloomed. They fired the best man they had...horticulturist. AND they started doing a poorer and poorer job of "maintenance" even though they took my money every month. I finally switched. And am happier for it."
