"We visited their showroom and asked for prices on about 3 different hardwood floor products. They were very helpful in answering all of our questions.  <br /> After looking at the quotes for having the flooring installed, we decided to save some money by purchasing the products from them and doing the installation by ourselves.  It was a LOT of hard work!  We went back to Breegle with questions about 2 times & they were very courteous in answering all of our questions & offering suggestions for the parts of the job we had difficulties with.  We took much longer to install our floor than they would have taken.  We have been VERY HAPPY with the product we purchased from them, and pleased when we finished installing our new floor.  BUT, if we have another room done...we would have them install it.  <br /> Although we saved money by doing the install ourselves, it would be worthwhile to pay them to do the install next time! <br />"

"From the initial contact with Nichole and Billie we could tell these folks are genuine honest and reliable business people.  They took the time to show us a variety of carpet samples and after we had selected the carpet we wished to install, they established a time table that met our needs to have it installed.  They sub contracted the installation to Danny Stephenson, who has had over 30 years of installation experience.  Danny and his assistant removed the old carpet and installed the new carpet carefully and quickly as we had furniture to be delievered the next day.  If you live in the Fredericksburg, TX area, I would highly recommend the Mollerings for your flooring needs.  They are a top rated business in our books and will continue to recommend them to our friends and neighbors.  They also sell tile and can arrange for kitchen countertops. <br />"

"After shopping several different places, we chose this company because after speaking with our salesperson, we were confident we would be completely satisfied.  The salesperson, Judy, was very professional, discussed in detail what we should expect, was very patient answering our questions. From decision time to finish she was part of the action so that we only had to speak with one person. She suggested and discussed everything from carpet type, weight, and the pad. <br /> The installers arrived on time, were very courteous, answered all my questions regarding moving the furniture . If I had a preference for doing things, they were happy to do as I wished. We are older and like things simple. <br /> The balance of my flooring is ceramic tile so no more carpet is in my future, but I highly recommend Johnny Brinks to everyone who needs flooring and wants a good experience when contracting for such. <br />"

"We were not very pleased. They had to come out multiple times. It was a long drawn out process and in the end there was one thing we were not completely satisfied with but we were just tired of the whole process and we just left it the way it was. They had to put in an addendum for the insurance company because the adjuster missed the work in one of the rooms that needed to be done on the original estimate. We had a water pipe leak in the foundation and so the plumbers came out and to find the leak, they had to put holes three four rooms of the house. They were really friendly, that was the good thing. We had 3 different people come and give us estimates and our insurance company recommended Blackmon Mooring and they were the lowest estimate. Our insurance also said they guaranteed their work for 3 years. But then when they came here to do the work, we realized they had missed the bathroom. The whole behind the vanity, the wall had to be torn out o they had to replace the back of the vanity and the entire wall. That wasn't even on the estimate. After the first day, there were two gentlemen, I guess the owner and a person that came with him who always spoke Spanish. He was very nice, he smiled all the time but on the second day, the owner left and left the gentleman who only spoke Spanish. My husband who was working at home had no way of communicating with him so he ended up calling a friend of ours who spoke Spanish to translate for him. when the carpet was ordered, the carpet and the pad was shorted, when they were painting the shelf, they missed the top shelf, then they came back and repainted it but there was something wrong with the paint, it was either contaminated or whatever. On the top shelf there was junk left in the enamel paint so it was really rough so they had to come back and do that one. There was another gentleman who only spoke Spanish and he had what looked like a high school son for his translator so when he finished, he asked if it was okay and it wasn't okay but I didn't know how to tell him what needed to be done. When Blackmon Mooring came back, I showed him the shelf, I showed him the carpet seam and I told him we were not happy. he said he would bring in his best guy to fix it. He did fix the carpet seam, it is good now however when he painted the shelf, he sanded it and when he painted it it, he didn't do it with enamel paint. When they said they would be here, they were usually here within a half hour of that time. We just decided to leave things as they are. The carpet seam got replaced, the shelf we can live with he way it is and I'm good."

"They met with me as scheduled, brought samples for me to choose from and completed the installation on a very tight time frame. The only reason I gave the quality a B rating is because I chose a lesser quality product as this was for a rental property. He did offer me a higher quality product but I declined. They cleaned up the area after installation, were friendly and professional. Emailed the invoice to me to be paid online, very convenient. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Harper, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
