"These two guys called ahead to alert me they were 20 mins out, showed up on time, and were super clean - took off their shoes and laid down protective coverings on my hardwood floors. They did a thorough inspection outside and in and allowed me to watch their live camera inspection so there would be no surprises later, i.e. photo-shopped pics of my debilitated chimney. These guys couldn't have been more professional, friendly or knowledgeable - they gave me options for the future and capped off my chimney with a steel cap so that no rain or chimney swifts or other small animals come inside while I'm waiting to begin the work. I need a new steel liner and I knew this needed to be completed so there were no surprises. My housing inspector (not a great one) had recommended Jack Pixley for the job. Turns out Jack Pixley has been dead for over 4 years and his one-time great company is doing shoddy work. His son now runs 2nd Generation chimney. No Pixley's own or work for Jack Pixley. So if someone recommends Jack Pixley, go with a real Pixley and call 2nd Generation Chimney. These two did not sugar-coat what I was looking at spending should I rebuild the chimney. They gave me alternatives for inserts that are way cheaper than repairing the original structure, gave me the pros and cons of both jobs, and did NOT try to sell me ANYTHING. As a new homeowner, whom everyone and their uncle is attempting to sell something to, I appreciate this approach. They are also CSIA certified and that bears weight with me - I value my home enough to go the extra mile in ensuring it is protected by having specialists perform the work. I will definitely go with them when the time comes. I trust them and that is often worth $$$ to me. <br />"

Most had long lead times due to supply chain issues or a booked schedule, which was an unpleasant proposition given that the colder months were fast approaching. Residential Heating and Air was the last company I contacted. I was immediately impressed by the great customer service and the attentiveness to my needs. Chris, the owner, came over himself to assess the situation and provide an estimate. He was able to find a Magic Pak unit that fit the limited space and provided an estimate that was very competitive. Installation only took four hours, plus another hour for the electrician to finish the hookup. First contact to installation was less than two weeks, which was pretty remarkable, especially given how covid has disrupted the supply chain. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. "Sela completed the work promptly, at a high level of quality workmanship, and for a fair price. We first met with Rick, who estimated our job and offered helpful suggestions and solutions. He was very experienced and knowledgeable. Our house is a 1926 stucco and we needed the work done in advance of a new stucco job, so keeping to our schedule was very important. After we signed the estimate, we were contacted promptly and put on the schedule. Michael, the gentleman who did the cladding, was highly skilled and did a wonderful job wrapping all the wooden surfaces in weatherproof aluminum: soffits, fascia, frieze boards, and installing the new vents (which we supplied). Next, Tony and crew arrived to install new 6" gutters with LeafX covers and new downspouts, which were reduced in number and moved to the side of the house for improved aesthetics. We are very pleased with the quality of the work Sela provided, the knowledge and skill of their employees, and the excellent communication throughout each stage of the project. "We hired James to clean our chimney and install a Chimilator (chimney cap). He came out and did the cleaning. At the same time he took measurements needed for the chimilator and gave us a quote. He also found that the chimney had a hole which needed to be repaired. Good thing he caught it, it was obvious that the hot chimney gas going into the wall would be dangerous. <br /> <br /> James made the 2nd visit to install the chimilator and repair. We found him to be very knowledgeable and described to us what he was doing and why. I'm not 100% sure of the $$ quote I entered above however what James quoted us is what he charged. There were no surprises. I'd recommend to go through him."
