"We consulted with Robert Horne Contracting to remodel a very dated bathroom for us. From the start, they were very communicative from when he'd have the estimate (we ended up getting that earlier than anticipated) to picking out fixtures to start date. As with any old house, there were some challenges with hidden things which added to the tasks needing to be performed. He told us about those as they came up and gave us the very reasonable estimates, if the issue required extra work. He was able to remove the build-out above the sink and rework the plumbing to vastly open up that space giving the appearance of a bigger, roomier room. We did a walk-through and got written confirmation of our punch list items. He gave us a date of when he'd be out to complete the odds and ends and was there promptly on the given day. We are very satisfied with the work he performed and especially with the communication. We never once wondered when he'd be there or what was going on with products being delivered, etc. We are very happy customers!"

I started with them and never even bothered looking for anyone else. These guys are exceptional. They showed up on time, were thorough and friendly and I could tell right away they knew what they were doing. There were no surprises, John kept me updated on the costs and what to expect throughout the project. We had the same 2 guys working on the house start to finish which made everything very comfortable and seamless. Start to finish only took a few days and they left the house soo clean! The right side of the house had the leak. Knowing the siding wouldn't match our old aluminum siding, we had them side the other side too. We can't believe how great everything turned out. Since my husband and I are both retired we had plenty of interaction with the Dougherty staff and their subcontractors. Yes, there were minor problems, but we have an old house and went into the project knowing they might uncover some things. Their staff collaborated with us when any issues arose so that we could reach a workable solution. The final cost was within 10% of the original bid, mostly due to cabinet upgrades.
