"He was incredibly positive. He was very timely and always showed when he said he was coming. He was very neat and cleaned up after himself. He would show up, do what he was supposed to do and be out the door. He was really easy to schedule because we had so much construction going on. We needed him at various occasion at various times and he would ask us to call him and let him know a day in advance. He was one hundred percent able to accommodate us on every single occasion when we needed him. He was incredibly great. We were new to the area and we absolutely knew no contractor whatsoever. Jeff was the guy from MC Fadden, linked us up with our carpenter, painter and some other people that we used in the house. He was able to provide some additional work for us in the process which turned out to be really great as well. It's been pretty horrible just because of the nature of the mess but the experience really for the most part has been really good. We were very grateful to Angie's List. My husband reached him on the phone and he responded very timely. When he was here, we liked him so much and we asked him to recommend a carpenter for us and he did that. "We had water-damaged plaster on the ceiling in the living room. About an 8' x 8' piece of ceiling needed to be replaced. Mr. Lakin professionally removed the damaged plaster right down to the original lathe of our over 100 year old house. Taking into consideration of our household furnishings, he covered and taped up everything so that the dust and debris was minimal. After replacing the plaster, Mr. Lakin professionally matched the rest of the ceiling which had been done in a swirl pattern. The swirl pattern he made matched the rest of the ceiling perfectly. <br /> <br /> Not only were we impressed with the professional job Mr. Lakin performed, we were also delighted that he came to do the work when he said he would and he finished in a very timely manner. Mr. Lakin responded to our email quickly and came for an inspection of the work to be done and with an estimate for the job a day after contact. Gave me an estimate and a date if available. I didn't have enough wall paper for the entire room, so he helped me design the best way to set off the wall adding an accent wall. Turned out great. "Have you ever been happy to write out a check for things done around the house? First time for everything they say! Scott and his crew were great! Professional yet down to earth, the kind of person that treats you like a friend. His work is meticulous, there isn't a drop of stain on the ground or in the shrubs. He even cleaned off my grill cover while they power washed! He and his crew did an excellent job on our deck, made it look like new again. There was no rush to get it done either, the time was taken to do it correctly. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have their deck done. He also does painting! I am sitting here trying to figure out if we need anything painted because I know that any job he would do, would have the same level of expertise that he showcased in refurbishing our deck. "Two weeks prior I had waterproofing done on my basement.  The contractors had to remove about 2 feet of drywall up from the floor level in order to dig up the concrete to install the waterproofing gear.  This left a really ragged mess of the drywall.  Marshall Dry Wall came in and had to cut away and straighten the area before applying new drywall.  He did all of this and did a beautiful job.  He did most of the work in an afternoon then came back the next morning and sanded the wall, down,and  cleaned up his mess so I could paint the walls. He also saw bad spots where Laundry water had messed up the wall. He removed all of that and replaced it with new sections of drywall making my walls look like new. <br />  He does quality work and I would call no one else to do my drywall work.  He is exceptional. <br />"
