"The whole experience was very smooth, efficient, friendly, and professional. Mary and Tammy were super helpful in helping me find the right pile and density of carpet for our great room, as their showroom has so many styles of carpet and flooring to choose from. Installers were extremely careful in moving furniture and efficient in removing the old carpet & pad, as well as installing the new. I was also appreciative at receiving the Home Show discount. This is the third time I have worked with Mary, and each time has been a perfect experience. Highly recommend!"

"I recently replaced carpet with LVP flooring on the first floor of my home. I shopped at several places, but chose America's Floor Source because of Karen Khe and her outstanding customer service! She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire project. Their installers were punctual, polite, and most importantly, meticulous. They addressed every one of my questions and requests, and the finished project is beautiful. I will definitely use them for any future projects in my home."

"WOWZER. Top-notch experience from start to finish. We had our front room carpeting replaced with LVP. Adam Nisley was super. He selected an excellent LVP that complimented the laminate in an adjacent family room. The estimate was delivered promptly and the installation was easily scheduled. Benito and his helper were on time and in and out in four hours. Carpet and a small tile entry were removed and hauled away. He verified with us that the product was correct before beginning. Installation was spot on perfect. Awesome clean up. If you are in the market for new flooring, we give Adam’s Flooring our highest recommendation! "This company was contracted to oversee and install all of our flooring (tile, wood flooring, carpet). I would NOT recommend using Carpet Country to install any flooring as their attention to detail, customer service, and overall installation is poor. I had to have ALL of my wood flooring ripped up and re-installed due to installation mistakes and poor communication. I still have issues with the wood flooring to this day. I also had to have bathroom tile replaced/fixed due to poor installation and poor attention to detail. I was also told by the owner of DICO flooring solutions, who was contracted to install the wood flooring, that he was going to pay for the dumpster he filled up. To this day, he has not paid that and has been unresponsive. Carpet Country did not pay for this as well as they were hired to handle and oversee all flooring installation. I would not use DICO flooring solutions or Carpet Country ever again as I did not feel like a priority. I would look into other flooring companies so you don’t have to deal with the same issues and inconvenience as I had to deal with."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Hartsville, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
