The cherry tree ended up being too dangerous to climb so it was stump cut and placed in such a way that nothing was damaged in the effort. "The service provider was good at keep in contact with me from estimate to completion of the work. I wasn't on a strict time scale but he finished the work within a week of the estimate. He had forgotten his rake and came back the following day to make sure all branches and debris were removed. He did not excessively try to upsell me, but did answer questions about my future needs (I asked because I don't know much about what I'm supposed to do for my trees). Overall, it was a very good service for a very reasonable price."

Quality of work was good.  Quality of customer service and respect for the personal and professional time of customers was terrible.  Mr. Anderson's team was expected to be at my property on several different occasions this year to provide quotes and plans of exterior lighting and landscaping.  Times and dates were set with his "Operations Manager", as well as another young lady who answers the phone.  On the first missed appointment, I scheduled myself out-of-the-office for an entire afternoon so as to be available at the property for what should have been a fairly lengthy walkthrough.  Nobody showed.  I called the office several times, being told someone would call me back immediately.  Finally I received a call that the team had been called away to an "emergency" where a tree had fallen, and would try to come out later.  This communication was received 2 hours after their scheduled time, and after many calls on my part.  I ended up taking an entire afternoon off from work, having no quote done, and having nobody come out later either.

Last year, we had Dirt Cheap come out to our property to remove some shrubs.  Again, they were no-shows on the first date and time scheduled, due to another "emergency" where a tree had fallen.  They were several hours late on the second time scheduled as well, without providing a call to me advising of the fact that they were behind schedule and causing me to lose additional time at work.

The latest instance of poor customer service and lack of professional courtesy was in late March of 2014.  Mr. Anderson was supposed to send me a message with pictures and prices of different landscaping available for our project, and promised while he was on-site that he would have it to us "tonight at the latest".  Two weeks later, we still had not received a thing from him despite several phone calls being made.  Mr. Anderson was made well aware of our frustrations with his and his team's lack of professionalism, and we even told him that we almost felt like we were "trying to hand you our money by continuing to give you chances, and you refuse to take it because you keep making the same customer service mistakes over and over again".  Unfortunately, Mr. Anderson does not seem to realize that he is in a customer service industry, and must show concern and courtesy to them.  Poor communication, lack of follow-up, disregard for other's schedules and needs, and an overall lack of professional courtesy are the first things that come to mind regarding his outfit.  Mr. Anderson and his team are well-mannered, and carry themselves professionally while in the presence of a customer...the only problem is actually getting them in your presence.

"Very prompt at responding to call, evaluation of the situation and beginning and finishing the job.I particularly appreciated his getting it done as last summer I had contacted the person who did the original paving work - he gave me an estimate then kept changing the date to do the work because he was busy with other jobs - he never got around to my job. It was great to have someone attentive to my job even though it was not a big one. I decided to find someone else and found YardExpressions through the Stone Co......and felt confident in hiring him after I read the reviews on Angie's List.Michael and his crew were pleasant,  polite and kept me abreast of what they were doing, showed up on time, completed the job in a timely manner as scheduled with no delays, and cleaned up after. The steps look nice and appear very sound.Michael has done other much larger jobs in my neighborhood and they are "works of art" admired by all the neighbors.The price was a bit higher than I expected but Michael explained and in all honesty, the quote from the original company was higher . Gave me suggestions on rmaintenance.  Overall a very good experience.
