We have used Exposition Carpet for several carpet installations over many years in our finished basement, and have consistently found the best pricing, ease of schedule and quality installation thru them. I especially like that it's a family business and you are dealing directly with owners and not with a salesman that doesn't even know who his/her boss is. The installers have worked their for years and that says a lot.

After going through a back porch remodel enclosing to a mudroom, we wanted a pet friendly, water resistant and durable floor so we went with vinyl plank. The store had many options, and time frame to get material was within a week. We checked out a 'sale' prior at a trendy well known Lincoln Avenue store, only to be met with double the cost and attitude. So we ended up back at Exposition and it was a done deal within 2 weeks.

I thought I had reviewed them on AL, but realized I hadn't when the list asked if members had any feedback.

We wouldn't hesitate to use them for any flooring needs.

"The team was very responsive in assisting the removal of a silver maple in my back yard. Came out and quoted the opportunity within a couple days of engaging them on the Home Advisor platform. After moving forward with the bid, the continued to provide communication even through a couple reschedules due to weather. "Installers did not come on time, two hours late. Then they had to validate that we paid Empire, which took an hour. The estimate of work was totally wrong, we were supposed to get a floating floor but the installers said they could not do that So they instead did a complete teardown of the existing floor and removed all the old tiles. The quarter round was included in the price of the materials but was never installed because we did not get a raised (floating) floor. So I think I was overcharged for the materials which were not used. I spoke to a number of persons at Empire about such issues without any resolution to my satisfaction. Besides all the problems encountered we do like the floor and it nice looking."

"Present himself with the name West. West came into the house handed right away the magnetic flyer. we introduce ourselves Minerva & Andrew Lorenzen. We showed him what we wanted down in the basement, talked about the electrical project then me and my husband when back up to living room. A few minutes later he comes up and talked way to much about it. he started talking about price about $15,000. We tool him that does not meet our budget so he says I will talk off $1000 so final amount will $14,000. He says how much can you give; it should be half of the project amount. We felt that we were pressured into making a decision. We told him we didn't have much at hand at the moment. We give you $500 dollar to hold the project. We told we just opened a new bank account and that we didn't have any checks available. He says to Zelle him $500.00 to process payment thru with real name given & personal phone number. We mention in the beginning that we in the processes of refinancing. He says coming over Wednesday. While me & my husband analyze what we want to do, we decided to wait until our refinancing is done. I contacted him 3 to 4 days to let him know that what decision regarding project he very upset about it, and I say I am requesting to refund the 500 dollars he says I have 2 kids. I have nothing to do with it. He said he was not able to return our money I told you scam. I say I used Angi before, but I didn't have a problem. I am requesting to solve this issue and get my money back."
