"A crew from Groundworks installed eight floor supports and encapsulated our crawl space last week. Jorge, Isaac, Kenny, Zacch, and Anthony did a great job! They worked very long hours to complete our project in a timely fashion and were great to interact with. They identified several plumbing and air duct problems and brought them to my attention. Jorge, the team leader, was great about communicating with me and keeping me well informed. The after job clean-up was very thorough. Jorge has been available by phone for my questions even after they have moved on to another job. These guys are very deserving of five stars. Also, I want to give a shout out to Anthony who did our inspection/estimate. He was very thorough and patient and made everything understandable. Another five-star guy!"

They were efficient, and very professional, especially since I was being a bit nosy. They installed everything quickly and managed to keep the bill to a minimum. "I was impressed with the education I received during the estimate and that they gave a Angie's List member discount. The work started on a Thursday and was supposed to finish before the weekend, but the foreman broke his finger on the second day. The pace of work slowed significantly after the crew lost their foreman, which was definitely understandable. At the end of the day on Friday my wife was told the work was done by the acting foreman. When I got home after work I noticed that the basement support poles were not installed. I called the office and setup for them to come back at 9 am on the next Tuesday. They had not showed up by noon so I called to check and was told they would be there in the afternoon instead. The crew was still without their foreman and took a lot longer than they first estimated to install the basement poles. Overall the workmanship was good, the price was fair, and they did a good job of cleaning up. The punctuality was not great, but I think losing the foreman had a lot to do with it."

"<p>When we moved into our 1930 mansion type home six years ago, I was so disappointed to discover that the huge basement leaked badly after every rain and wasn't going to be as usable as I thought. Over the past few years we tried so many ideas and even hired and quot;The Old Cellar Manand quot;, a popular basement contractor in central Oklahoma (Shawnee), and paid him $8000.00 to waterproof for us. But the basement still leaked just as badly after his work and we almost took him to small claims court. Really frustrating!</p> <p> We had about given up when I read about Basement Systems on the Internet and ordered their book. We thought it was worth one last try and I cannot believe it, where we once had puddles all along the perimeter and seeping walls, we now have a perfectly dry basement that we've even carpeted! We have a game room on one side and a nice apartment on the other with bed and sectional sofa, etc. Its a dream come true!</p> <p>I was more than a little suspicious of basement contractors after our previous bad luck, but I soon realized that the Nelson Waterproofing owner, Richard, his son, and the other guys that did the work were genuinely honest, hard working, knowledgable, and even very nice, fun, and cheerful. I really do trust these people and they know what they are doing and I really enjoyed having them in our home. They even came back to help with a little problem our carpenter caused which has been resolved nicely.</p> <p>The downsides to their work would just be the huge mess it makes. They do a pretty good job of cleaning up, but you are still left with a heavy layer of fine powdery concrete dust on every square inch on anything in your basement, and its very hard to keep it off of all your stuff, even if you cover it in plastic. I ended up hiring a local floor cleaning company to clean the concrete floor for us. </p> <p>Also, Nelson Waterproofing put up their Basement Systems white vinyl material on the walls (which we have since finished out), and I must say, they are not exactly professional wallpaperhangers, so don't expect perfection there, in case you plan to leave the vinyl exposed.</p> <p>But all in all, we were very happy with the work they did for us and heartily recommend Nelson Waterproofing.</p> <br />"

"The tech was very polite and on time. I was charged more than $400 to run a camera through the lines and told I needed a backflow valve at an estimated cost of $3,600. I asked another company to come out, and they ran a camera for free. They said I do not need a backflow valve but if I wanted one it would be $800. Ended up I needed new toilets (holes underneath the rim were mostly clogged), which were never mentioned by the first tech."

"I have only received an estimate. The work will be done in a couple of months. They would have done the work a month ago but I have a big boat in their way and it would be difficult for them to access the problem area until the boat is back at the lake."

I live in a very rural area, so getting qualified people to show up is always a struggle. <br /> He showed up promptly the following <strong>COLD</strong> morning and got right to work. At first I did not think he would be able to loosen the old pipes to make the repair. Those pipes have been in continual use for about 50 years! Anyway, after some hard work, he managed to get everything apart and begin the repair. It has been 9 months since the work was done and all is well. I would call this company again for my plumbing issues. <br />"
