"Extremely professional, and accommodating. I highly recommend this business! Chris prices are fair. Trust me, I interviewed several other Electrical businesses, and Schombert Electric had hands down the best offer. We are extremely pleased with the work that was done."

"We called Jason upon recommendation from our plumber, Cliff. We also called one other highly rated electrician who declined to help us since we had reached out to someone else for a quote. Jason called us back within 24 hours, scheduled a trip to our house the next week, and completed the work the week after. When he first called, we explained we would like to install a 50 Amp box for our travel trailer and attach it to the side of our shed. Jason was very knowledgeable about the wiring needed and explained the process in a professional and friendly manner. We told him we were considering digging the 80 foot trench ourselves and he said that was fine. When we mentioned that to the other electrician who returned our call a couple of days later, he was not happy with us trenching, telling us he had all the equipment to do it and didnâ t have time for us any way. Needless to say, we decided to let Jason and his assistant, Dean, do the trenching. We are so glad we did! - prompt, professional, gets the job done! A few hours in the morning, and it was done! Jason even fixed a couple of outlets in the house we were concerned about and added a GIF outlet near the new breaker box and 50 amp box at no additional charge. I went out and asked questions which Jason readily answered encouraging me to ask any question I had. There is no doubt we will have Jason come out again for any of our future electrical needs including wiring our 12x12 shed."

"Garrett did some work, installed a circuit for an RV I have at my home and also an additional for my wife's charging receptacle for my wife's electric car. The work was good. He came out and he was very busy. The only negative flaw on his company was he does not take card at the time. So I couldn't instantly pay him, I'm currently doing a payment program which he really doesn't like, and I'm getting hit with a fee every month now that I have to drag this payment out. That was largely due to the fact that he does not have a card swipe reader or any kind of mobile payment technology. You have to wait until he sends you a bill. That's the only flaw, his work was really good. I've had no problems  I would probably use him again, and his quote was right on the money pretty much, what he quoted me wasn't above or below, it was right on the money so to speak. but definitely good work. He came out was very friendly, he pretty much had the work done in about half a day because he basically had to do some external work and cut into the exterior of my house to run the pipe through to at least get the pipe routed into the junction box and put the additional breaker on there but all in all I would definitely probably use him again although admittedly I would prefer a provider and anyone who wants to be able to pay either by card or instantaneously would probably want to go to a different provider until he changes that practice of his. I had him put in two receptacles and a circuit breaker, one for an RV and the other was an internal inside my garage for a portable stage two charger for my wife's electric car. It was all one bit of work. He did a very good job. He was very honest and forthright if he couldn't make it. He had to cancel a couple times. I contacted him sometime around April or May and the work wasn't until a little bit later but basically he was very conscious. He was very busy obviously, it was getting close to summer time in Arizona which means a lot of people getting either new air conditioning units and stuff like that which require electrical work and stuff like that so he was very conscious about if he couldn't make an appointment or and discussions he talked to me throughout the work of this is what I'm doing, here's how I'm going, here's how I would prefer to do it. He was willing to take my input so it was very attentive to me as a customer. That's really the biggest flaw, because he doesn't have a portable payment service it makes things a little bit hard. Also his business office, he has someone handle the books separately for billing and stuff like that and then his wife mails out the notices so he doesn't have an extensive office so that can be a little complicated. He's a small business owner and therefore obviously you can't expect him to have someone who sits constantly at a business office and goes okay call this number for billing and stuff like that. You have to wait for the invoice which can be a few weeks if his wife is basically the one doing the billing portion of it and they have children, as a parent with 2 small children I can understand things get busy so it is a small predominately family owned operation. Which means it's subject to those same pressures as well they're a family and kids get sick and have school trips or other stuff like that so it can delay his billing a little bit. The previous gentleman that I contacted quoted me a price at about $900 or so but he preferred that I buy all the circuit breakers and materials. Mr Garrett basically said look I'll provide the appropriate plugs and all of that. Tell me what your needs are and everything and I'll provide my part. He has his own parts so he preferred to use his parts that he sourced which was fine with me, so that did increase the price. So based on what I paid for all of my stuff I would say he was definitely higher than the previous quote but he was also basically willing to stand behind the components that he sourced. I would give him a B for price but it was professional work and there's not enough electricians and I would say it was a little more expensive based on the previous statement and from what I've researched form your site and a couple of other places.Given the work that was done I don't know how he can be any cheaper, but he definitely seemed to be in the ballpark of that kind of work. It wasn't exceptionally low or exceptionally high from my understanding. I've had no problems with the work he's done. As I said previously, he was very quick to communicate with me if there were any issues that was going to delay him getting out here which was a couple times due to emergency work like people with infants needing immediate electrical work to restore air conditioning or stuff like that. So he was always very very quick to communicate with me, and during the work he several times he had me come out to show me the work he was doing asked my permission to make changes that he felt was necessary to make go as smoothly, so he was definitely an A in his communication skills with me as a customer.  Punctuality is a B, but that's largely because of  a schedule he could not control. The day that he actually said he was coming out, he came out on time so I would say an A. I initially said B but not so much, more an A. He was definitely very professional. Highly likely to use again the only difference that I would do is if I were to find someone of the same rating as he that served my local area and took payment by card the day that the service was done. That would be the only discriminator."

"We've got American Home Shield. So that kinda varies but united air temp has done some work for us. Probably a couple years ago, I think so. I think its two years ago. They did work on our air conditioning. Well you know with American Home Shield you only pay $75.00. You sign up for a year , its like something you subscribe to.  You call and contact American Home Shield and they have somebody contact you whose in line with their services and agrees to work with them. You pay $75.00 and if its not done correctly for each visit but if they come back twice you don't pay again. Its like 400 and something a year. Its fabulous, its fabulous. If you need plumbing , H VAC, lighting, its amazing. Its worth every dime. And if they can't fix it they replace it at no charge unless you want to upgrade There are some different companies but even when we refinanced our house they had us, no we bought another house in Winchester for our son. And they made us have it in with our policy and they use American Home shield. its fabulous and you don't have to do the searching or anything, If you aren't happy you just tell American Home shield. One time United Air Temp tried to talk us into , they did some plumbing work too, and they were going try to talk us into replacing it with a cheap model. That isn't American Home Shield policy its with the same thing or you can pay to upgrade. Pay the balance of an upgrade. We use it all the time. When my son has issues with his house I tell him just call American Home Shield. They guarantee they will be out within 72 hrs but its usually within 24 hours. We contacted them last week about my son's air conditioning. They came out right away, they had to order something. They had to come back out and they did last Wednesday and they fixed it."

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Hereford, AZ

Yes, a licensed electrician is essential for this project. Running an electrical service from the road to your house involves connecting to utility power lines, complying with national and local electrical codes, and safely handling high-voltage systems.

Licensed professionals understand proper wire sizing, grounding requirements, and voltage drop calculations needed for safe installation. Most jurisdictions require permits and inspections that only certified professionals can obtain. The safety risks and potential for property damage make this project inappropriate for DIY attempts.

Overhead installations are less expensive than underground options. For a 1000-foot run, overhead service costs between $8,000 and $15,000, while underground service ranges from $10,000 to $25,000.

Overhead lines require less labor and fewer materials since they don't need trenching or conduit. However, underground lines offer better protection from weather events and aesthetic benefits. Your decision should balance your budget constraints with long-term reliability and visual preferences.

You might need to upgrade your electrical panel depending on your power requirements. If your existing panel cannot handle the additional load from the extended service, upgrading to a 200-amp service (costing $750 to $2,000) may be necessary.

A licensed electrician can evaluate your current system and determine if an upgrade is required. Factors include what you'll be powering at the end of the line, existing electrical demand, and whether voltage drop over the distance will affect performance.

Running electric service from the road to a house requires electrical permits from your local building department, costing between $500 and $2,000 depending on your location. You may also need excavation permits for trenching work if installing an underground service. Your utility company will have its own application process for connecting to its grid. A licensed electrical contractor can handle all the necessary permit applications as part of their service, ensuring your installation meets all local code requirements.
