"McCann Windows was great! Kevin McCann came out promptly to look over the job and sent an estimate that was fairly priced (that came in the middle of the other estimates). We went with McCann because the price was fair, Kevin was very professional and informative, and took the time to answer our questions. It took a little longer than I expected for the windows to come in, but the slider turned out to be a custom order, and there was no extra charge. Once the windows were delivered, the installation team was fantastic! They worked hard all day, met the timeline to install that they promised, were personable and professional, and the cleanup afterwards was perfect. We will only go with McCann to finish our window replacements. We are very happy."

"We hired Dynamic Colors to paint a bedroom (including closet), full bath, and powder room in our house. We had removed an old wall mounted sink from the powder room and replaced plumbing prior to painting, so the walls and ceiling were in need of extensive patching. The bedroom plaster ceiling was cracked and uneven and also in need of repair. Of the three companies we called for estimates, Anthony of DC spent the most time with us to understand and assess the work. Although his quote was not the least expensive of the three, we chose DC because we were most confident in them to take the time to perform the prep work correctly. Anthony arrived with the crew on day one to go over the work with his painters and us together. He visited throughout the job to ensure the work was being done correctly and address any of our concerns. When he was not present on site, he was always readily available by phone/text. All three painters in the crew were very capable, polite, and careful in our home to protect areas around where they were working. Anthony inspected the job toward the end and pointed out areas that his crew needed touch up before finishing (items I would probably never have noticed with my own eye). We were very happy with the finished work and the level of service Anthony and his crew provided. I would not hesitate to hire them again."

"Went well, they fixed broken lines in the concrete floor, took out all the cabinets in the kitchen,tore up old flooring and carpets, replaced cabinets, laid Pergo throughout the house, and recut and hung all doors and trim to fit... Painted all, and hooked everthing back up!... Would highly recommend Bob and his crew!  Plus they're pleasant to work with... (That always helps)

"After a bad storm in 2017 we had contractors all over our subdivision looking for work. As a rule if you knock on my door I won't use you. We had 6 door knockers and contacted 5 others. We actually started working with two different contractors first. One didn't have the proper insurance and one came in very expensive. They did get the insurance process started but were not what we wanted. I contacted 3 more contractors. One of them was Professional Home Improvement. Mel came over reviewed what the insurance company had approved and realized that they had missed several items that needed to be included but was left out. He also came up with an estimate right away. It was a good estimate and included several items that the other companies had not so we went with his company. He contacted the insurance company and got the additional items approved. He also had his insurance company send his proof of insurance directly to us instead of just giving us a copy. We had to wait a few weeks for them to start the roof which was fine since it had been almost a year since we started looking for a contractor. I also felt that good contractors are busy so there would be a wait. The old roof was torn off and the new on was installed with ice and water shield in one day. The crew did a great job and even went around the house with a big magnet to pick up any nails that were in the grass or on the deck. A few weeks later they started on the siding and window trim. after removing the siding they installed 3/8's of an inch of insulation and wrapped the house in Tyvek. When installing the siding there were a few issues that came up but since I was there while they were doing the install we were able to solve them right away and continue on. They even pointed out that on the gutters, which had been installed 17 years ago, The nails were starting to pull out of the brackets. So while they were installing the siding I was fixing the loose gutters. The finished product looks great. I've even had neighbors stop by just to tell us that how nice the house and the siding look. I am very happy with the job that was done."

"Nick made a positive impression right off the bat - by responding to an off-hours weekend voicemail of mine, even though Nick was on vacation at the time. Nick showed up in the middle of his promised window and was professional and efficient throughout. Instead of just suggesting replacement parts for the dryer, Nick made an effort to get to the root of the problem: our dryer vent and ductwork was not properly designed or installed. Nick tackled the problem by helping to design and build a better dryer vent system - this took quite a bit of time but he did a fantastic job and we are wondering why the house's original dryer vent wasn't done in the same fashion. Nick also made an effort to explain the reasons behind his decisions and recommendations, as well as offer cost-conscious pointers to avoid future maintenance. The work ended up being much more involved than originally anticipated but Nick was able to accommodate our needs in one day. I would recommend his services without reservation and look forward to working with him again."

"The ordering and installation processes were great! The salesman visited our house and helped us select stain for the new windows that matched our existing trim. The windows and replacement trim were stained prior to installation. The salesman, measuring expert, and installation crew were friendly, on time, and very professional. The installation involved no surprises and was completed in the order of our requests. We paid a small fee for the installation crew to remove and reinstall all hardware for the drapes and blinds and it was definitely worth it. The interior and exterior weatherproofing was a plus. The exterior caulking was thorough and neatly done. The clean-up after installation was also great. We would definitely recommend Next Door & Window to anyone needing new windows."
