"Everything went very well. The technician had all the parts in his truck, even though he hadn’t been given many details. Our sump well is smaller than most, but he was able to fit it in. I would’ve liked to keep the old pump, but didn’t think to make that request until after the technician left. Called the office for it, but I guess it was already disposed of. Would hire this company again."

"Tonya phone receptionist was courteous and informative. Plumber John knutson was professional, exhibited patience to explain all of my options. Because the repair needed was during a power outage and timing was critical John was able to have WaterWork Plumbing deliver the secondary sump pump needed to expedite the installation and complete the repair in order to avoid further complications. I am very happy with the whole experience start to finish. WaterWork Plumbing will be my first choice for any plumbing repair issues. Kevin"

"Unfortunately this provider does not service my area. I really wish he did. Even after he discovered I'm not in his service area, he gave me advice on arsenic removal and well rehabilitation. He is clearly very knowledgeable and is not just out to make a buck. He confirmed what I suspected--that many well drillers will tell you that you need a whole new well when repair will suffice. He said the only reason to replace a well is when sand starts getting through. I recommend him highly. <br />"

"Joe at WaterBGone is truly excellent at what he does. Joe helped us to feel informed and confident when buying our home (he came out to evaluate the foundation of our home before we purchased). Ramon performed some repair and tune up work, after we purchased, to seal up some minor leaks. Now, a year and a half later, those areas have not had a single drop of water. Joe was the first person we called when an unrelated area of our basement started leaking during heavy rains. He's timely, an expert in his field, and beyond fair in his pricing. Don't hesitate to hire this company - they are the kind of honest, trustworthy business a homeowner NEEDS in their contacts list."

"Very happy with them. If they don't have a preferred vendor in your area who can handle your repair, you can hire whomever you want. Important: you must get an approval from them before you hire the vendor if you want the service covered. You pay the vendor directly for the work and email Complete Protection a copy of the receipt; they reimburse you within 30 days as promised. I've used them three times over the past year and everything went smoothly. They reimburse me on time and are easy to deal with over the phone."

"Michael came in just on my budget and went over and beyond. He added two valves on the add on, and even replaced the head of my gas stove connection with a new one. When he came in there was a cheap job on my sump pump that he bumped into and it snapped off and he fixed it free. Would definitely hire again for any of my needs."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Highland Park, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
