"I INTERVIEWED NUMEROUS COMPANIES OVER THE COURSE OF SEVERAL YEARS IN AN EFFORT TO FIND SOMEONE THAT COULD CLEAN THE EXTERIOR OF MY HISTORIC STONE HOUSE WHICH HAD GENERAL ENVIRONMENTAL DIRT, AS WELL AS NUMEROUS PAINT DRIPPINGS ACCUMULATED DURING YEARS WORTH OF SLOPPY PAINTING OF THE WOOD TRIM. ALL OTHER COMPANIES SUGGESTED POWER WASHING (DIDN'T WORK) OR SAND BLASTING (I HAD DONE ENOUGH RESEARCH TO KNOW THAT THIS WOULD HAVE DAMAGED MY POROUS STONE AND COMPROMISED THE INTEGRITY OF THIS HISTORIC PROPERTY). ONLY DEGRUCHY MASONARY AND RESTORATION HAD A SOLUTION THAT WOULD EFFECTIVELY CLEAN THE STONE WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE. I ALSO NEEDED MORTAR WORK AND THEY WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT UTILIZED THE QUALITY TYPE OF MORTAR AS WAS ORIGINALLY USED IN BUILDING THE HOUSE. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE, AND THEIR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY HISTORIC PRESERVATION. THE HOUSE WAS BROUGHT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL GLORY WITH THEIR WORK."

"We met with Phong at their showroom and were given a tour to see granite and marble samples. He took the time to explain different options and explain the pros and cons of each type of stone. Once we decided on a slab he came out to prepare templates. Soon after, the fabricators came to install our new countertops. The entire experience was positive and we are thrilled with the results. As others have mentioned he is very busy but will work as long as needed to get the job done right (our 45sq/ft job ended up being a bit more involved once old tile was removed). "I would only change one thing. We selected a River Bordeau granite. I would have had the river "flow" in a different direction on some of our countertops. I wish Cosmos had visualization software so that we could actually see how it would be laid out before it was cut. It looks fantastic! Don't get me wrong but it is Cosmos's vision and not ours. I would have liked to have more control via better visualization. Other than this, our experience with Cosmos was excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, responsive and timely. <br /> <br />When getting countertops with a design, do be sure you fully understand how the stone will be cut and laid out. Do look for sales and special pricing, especially if you are interested in a high level stone. Do educate yourself on how granite is sold. Do check out Cosmos. You won't be disappointed."
