"I left a message for Bila and he returned my call right away. He came out to give me an estimate which was more than reasonable and said he would be able to do the job the following week. His crew came in and did an excellent job on both bedrooms. They had to repair some holes in the walls and I wanted the closets painted also. The rooms look GREAT! Bila was courteous, prompt, his price was more than reasonable and I am very happy with his work. I will recommend him to my friends and family.

"

We bought a pre-owned home and most of the rooms already had crown molding, but we decided to have the remainder of the house finished as well.  To begin with we had crown molding installed, painted and caulked in two rooms - the office and the guest bedroom.  I am a perfectionist and we could not be more pleased.  Dana and his staff are very professional.  They exceed  expectations.  Lindsey is great from the initial appointment until the job is complete.  And Cassie is an artist in her field.  They want the customer to be completely happy with the job.  We are scheduling them to come out again after the first of the year to complete a difficult job in the master bathroom.  We highly recommend I Crown Homes for your crown molding projects.

We also are taking this opportunity to rescind our review of last May, after a number of unfortunate issues resulted in our canceling this crown molding project and getting our money refunded.  This fall we decided to try it again, and we are certainly glad we did!

"The job was done quite well and the prices were reasonable.  Project went over the budgeted time, but tolerable in my opinion seeing that it was a big project.  That said, I ran into a couple of warranty issues after the job was complete.  One was handled so-so but I'm not complaining about that one.  The other issue was simply not handled at all and this is why I am writing this review.
Approx. 8 months ago when one of the windows facing the backyard (part of the job) was hit by a ball (kids playing).  The window broke and I was surprised to see the outside pane (inside one didn't break) broke into large dagger like pieces.  This was supposed to be safety glass!  What about the rest of the windows?  This was not right.  To be clear, I was categorically told by the contractor that code required I install safety glass in the backyard windows because kids play in the backyard and accidents can happen.  This was going to cost a bit more, but obviously a no-brainer (and was told code required it anyhow so no choice either).
I called the contractor and after some phone tag he sent his window subcontractor over, and he took measurements and promised to be back within 2 weeks to fix.  The windows guy never came back and when I called the contractor (more phone tag) he promised the windows guy would contact me.  He didn't, and ever since the contractor himself stopped returning my calls.  I tried many times over several months, but nothing.  I must emphasize, the contractor seems to be a reasonable guy, I know that from dealing with him directly for several months during the project, but I believe his windows guy is not reliable (delays and mistakes throughout the project).  I'm disappointed in the contractor's handling of this because after all I am his customer and he's my point of contact not the subcontractor.  I am simply asking for these windows to be brought to spec and fitted with safety glass as I was originally told they would be."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Higley, AZ

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
