We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. As with any large construction/remodeling project, there were some unexpected expenses that came up, but John worked with us to help limit cost overruns, sometimes foregoing profits. He was also always up front about the costs of the various components. Our new home is gorgeous and reflects his sharp eye for detail. We couldn’t be happier. Macy has I/DD and Autism and will likely not be able to live away from us, her parents, unless she is in assisted living of some sort. "Paul Derosia of Triple D is a high integrity individual. He is polite, soft spoken, and knowledgeable. He showed up on time, every day, and took painstaking care to do the siding and painting job as if it was his own home. The siding installation, the window trim, the caulking, and the painting were all done professionally. Paul doesn't just bid a job, and then hand off the work. On any given day, Paul could be seen on a ladder or the scaffolding, and even with a paint brush in hand. I don't typically provide public reviews of contractors, but, I was impressed with Paul, his skills, integrity, and work ethic. "During wind storm a tree fell on out buildings. A garage and 2 sheds. This company was fast in tarping garage roof to keep rain from getting in. Also, Anwar was quick to give estimates on repairing garage roof and sheds. His crews put new roof on garage and sheds as well as replacing broken rafters caused by the tree. They prepped and painted garage and sheds. They look brand new. Anwar interfaced with my insurance company to get additional considerations from the original insurance estimate. I was especially appreciative of his help. You can't go wrong by hiring Dluxe Construction!!!"
