"We hired Performance Energy to air seal our attic and add additional insulation. Their representative provided a clear explanation of their process and provided a thorough assessment of our home's energy concerns. I had already done a lot to the house, so I was pleased to have a second set of eyes evaluating my work. They arrived with a crew of four, three were in the attic for several hours sealing all the gaps and cracks between the attic and the living space. They also used a thermal camera to check for leaks in my HVAC ductwork that was in the attic - prior to insulating. Once all the sealing was complete, they proceeded to add additional insulation throughout the attic. The only snafu was their generator died. We looked at the electrical connections and found the brushes in the motor had overheated and melted. It took about an hour to get a replacement generator and they were able to finish the project. Other than the generator - things went smoothly. I would definitely recommend them if you want to make your house more energy efficient. Don't add extra insulation until you have air-sealed!!"

"Good salesman but didn't deliver on original time frame or quality of work.  Began work in November but did not finish with last job until April. Soffit is buckled in a few places.  Flooring contractor delivered pre-finished oak instead of unfinished oak as we had requested. Oak flooring had many knots in it.  Don't think they let the wood sit long enough in our house before laying it because it is beginning to warp a little.  Had major issues with grouting of tile work.  Upstairs ceramic tile floor not grouted well and had to ask twice for contractor to grout missed spots.  Today there are still some places where the grout is missing.  The worst headache we have is the shower tile.  They had to regrout about 4 times due to cracking and using different colors of grout. We had to call them back again today because the grout is chipping, cracking and coming out in the corners, the base and around the drain.  They say their work is guaranteed for 5 years so we will see.  We are concerned about moisture and mold due to cracks and missing grout if this is not fixed soon.  With all this said most of the people we dealt with from Braswell were very nice and professional. I was mistakenly copied on a text message one supervisor sent the owner where he was cursing about a message I had sent him regarding something that needed to be fixed.  They did throw in some extra work at no additional charge that was nice.  We have heard back from the owner and a supervisor and are being told they will have all our issues corrected so that we will be satisfied. <br />"

"The termite treatment A&A performed was more thorough than any other company had discussed--we had some built-in shelves along two walls of the attached garage, and rather than try to take apart the shelves or just not treat that wall, the guys with A&A drilled diagonally through the cement. Afterward, they sealed up all of the holes they had made to the extent that you can't even see them unless you're looking on purpose. As for the squirrels, Matt was on point there too--he crawled far into the back of our attic, found an electrical wire the squirrels had gnawed on and one place the squirrels were getting in, and even took pictures to show us these things. We ultimately opted to go ahead and get a full exclusion treatment done. The one squirrel caught in our exclusion trap one evening was promptly picked up the next morning, and we haven't heard scratching or scurrying since! When the squirrels attempted to chew their way back into the attic in different areas this winter, Matt came back out to perform our annual re-inspection and made sure they hadn't actually succeeded. While there was no money in it for him, he recommended purchasing a trap from Amazon to use year-round for catching and re-homing the squirrels who have memories of being inside the house, since they will keep trying to get back in and if ATA were to handle the trapping it would understandably cost $$$ each time they had to come out. That's who he is and who ATA is--honest people who want to solve your problem, even if the solution doesn't involve them."
