They completed both jobs within a few hours; they cleaned up afterwards, I am now prepared for keeping my lawnmower and other tools dry and ready for next season. They were a pleasure to work with. "They do great work! From puncutality to price, we will use no other company going forward. Since building a bedroom in our basement, we just had them back last week. We have/had a very small kitchen space in our typical 3 bedroom brick ranch in Chicago. We hired Pawel to remove the adjoining bedroom which we've converted into dining space. This included removal of two walls, reinforcement of two support beams, run electrical for canned lighting, install two other light fixtures, patch drywall and mend existing floors for a great flow. All was completed in a timely manner and of course, the finished product has exceeded our expectations.

"From the calls that I had been making to try to find someone to do the project, we were told that we would need an architect to do the drawings and submit the drawings to the city to get a permit. When I called Ideal Build, Peter was very responsive and we set an appointment during that call. He was on time for the appointment and was very professional and friendly. The main thing that I liked about him was that he was the only one that came that actually went up on the roof to see what we were dealing with, gave us good suggestions for what would have to be done and how to handle the chimney. He also gave us a good suggestion that if we decided to remove the chimney that we can have the venting changed to the side of the house and change our water heater to one of the tankless models. Overall the experience with Peter was great. We did not end up using him for the project because we were on a really tight budget. My mother had spent so much replacing roof after roof that there was really not a lot of equity left in the property to refinance, not to mention the market taking a dive with the home prices. Anyway, Peter gave us a quote for $4k to $6k dollars, that included drawings & permits. We would have to get a second quote from the contractor he worked with. Most of the people that we ended up getting quotes from were quoting us around $30k or more for the project. My thought process was that if we did a tear down and full roof replacements before for around $10k, why in the world would adding some joist to the project double the price for the project? We did go with another contractor that the price was way more reasonable and we are happy with the work. I would use Idea Build if you are planning on doing a large scale project, where the cost is a little more justifiable."

"Id like to take a minute to explain our experience with Regency Garages. When we first decided we wanted to build a garage, we met with several companies before contacting Regency. The experience with these companies was less than desirable. It felt like they wanted to build only a simple box style garage and really did a horrible job explaining the process and options. When Terry from Regency came out to meet with us, we knew right away this was the company we had been looking for. She did a great job walking us through sizes, designs, process, and pricing. We learned so much from that fist visit and felt very comfortable dealing with her. We then began the process and this is where Regency really shines. As you can imagine, questions can arise. There was not a phone call or e-mail that Regency did not get back to me quickly on. Their communication is second to none. The concrete and build process was exceptional. Regency handled all permits and we passed all inspections easily. This is a company you should feel comfortable dealing with. I would be more than happy to discuss our experience further with any one interested. Thank you Regency for a job well done. I finally have the garage I always wanted. And it looks like my son and his friend have also turned the 2nd floor into a clubhouse (see pics). Many thanks!"

"I would like to say that we would use GF Company in the future.
The Positive:
 The sales representative, Ken Jr., was astounding.  His knowledge of his field was excellent and I enjoyed talking with him.  He was also very thorough with his estimate and writing down in great detail what we wanted to have done.  I hope we get him as our sales representative when it is time to do our roof or our windows.
The work was done exactly as Ken Jr. had written on the estimate.  For the most part the work matches the current look of the shed and it has already filled the water barrel.  
The Negatives:
It was difficult to communicate with GF Company.  We had originally received a quote from Rick a year before the work was done and we contacted GF Company many times to speak with him about getting the work done, but none of our phone calls were returned.  Finally we asked for someone new and we got Ken Jr. sent to us.
After we paid our half-down deposit, we were told that we would get a call in about three weeks to find a date for the work to be done.  After about 5 weeks we tried contacting GF Company.  One phone call had us speaking with a lady on the phone who said that someone would call us back soon, but that never happened.
We never received a call to tell us when the work would be done as we wanted to have someone home to make sure things were done to our specifications.  Several days after our phone call was not returned, we received a text message from our neighbor telling us that someone was doing work on our property, but my wife and I were both at work and by time we got home the work was done.  Since Ken Jr. did such a great job with writing down what we wanted, we did not have any issues with what was done.
It appears that one of the items created on site for our downspout on the shed was likely spray painted on site.  The paint job has already faded, but we can find some paint to paint it again.
Overall, it sounds like we had a bad experience, but we did not.  The work that was done was done well and the sales representative we worked with was very knowledgeable.  We would use GF Company again and recommend them, but encourage folks to have patience with communication.

"I was very impressed with Orlando when he quickly returned my call for an estimate.  We were originally going to have him spackle and paint a bedroom and paint a hallway.  I asked him for an estimate for the rest of the bedroom level of our duplex.  We decided to have the entire project done at once :)
Orlando arrived each day with his crew.  We hardly even knew the crew was here, they were very quiet and worked all day!  They did a great job, paying close attention to every detail! 
We are very pleased with the job that Orlando's Paint Works did.  When they were finished, we asked for a quote for some exterior paining!!
