"This was our second job with Solid Fencing. We were so impressed the first time, we didn't even bother to get additional bids for this larger job. Jeffrey is excellent at reviewing options and ground conditions that require solutions. He even showed up when the materials were delivered to make sure everything was included and of first rate quality. The next day, he and Otis completed the installation from start to finish, including removing the old fencing. This is a first rate fencing company. "Overall installation went really well. Karl constantly shows ingenuity on any project he works on. He seems to be able to look at a picture and easily re-create it. For example: I handed him 2 newel posts a 8 foot piece of base molding, an 8 foot 5" wide piece of MDF, some bead board, a side panel and a base kitchen cabinet... and he built a beautiful kitchen island. Bottom line- you give him the materials and the idea and he will bring it to life. On top of everything else, Karl is sincere, honest and shows up as promised. He is definitely the exception among your usual lot of South Florida contractors.

"they were very prompt and professional to visit and do the free estimate. They took a bit longer than anticipated to build the fence, and the sales person completely detached from me once the contract was signed. There was no follow up from him or the company as of the status of the installation unless I initiated it with a phone call. They gave me a day's notice as I requested, but I think I only knew they were coming because I asked.
The day of the job, two men showed up, but a couple hours later I realized there was only one man working. I came out to bring him water and found out the other person was only there to help deliver the material, but he would be working alone because his assistant was hurt on a job recently and is not back yet. For this reason he took a day and a half to finish (which I think was remarkable), but he said under normal circumstances they would have been done in a day for sure.
The gentleman was attentive, courteous, and certainly a hard worker. 
When he finished, there was a lot more lose dirt around the site than I anticipated, but I have to assume that if two people were working, the site would have been left much cleaner, so I don't hold this against him. Overall, I think he did an excellent job. The fence is very straight and looks very neat. They used stainless steel on the gate locks for durability, which is a plus. 
I got a quote from another company for this same job, and a third one that I made an appointment with never showed up for the estimate. SFR offered a competitive price against the other, about $400 less. I am not overly excited and impressed by their customer service, but I would hire them again if I needed this type of service.

"The company is awesome. From the initial bid to placing the last window, all employees were courteous and professional. Watching the men remove and install each window was like watching a ballet in motion. With very few words the men synchronized their motions to effortlessly remove and install the windows. We noticed a crack in one of the window edges, sent a picture to Barb (Vice-president) who ordered a new window for us the same day she received the picture. The entire staff was quite attentive to all of our needs. We are very pleased for all that was done for us and would definitely recommend them to others

"Problems at first were they set to start the job on 7/5 and complete on 7/6. They showed up 5 days early and wanted to leave their trailer with supplies on it parked in the front yard. It was later determined they would take the trailer and return the following Monday to start the work. Additionally, they were to have someone come out and mark off the buried cables, pipes, etc., which was never done. Telephone calls after that changed the installation back to 7/5 and that it would be complete in two days. Wednesday 7/5 came, removed old fence left in the front yard and driveway, started install. Return Thursday, continue on install and did not have driveway gates. To return Friday to complete, but were unable to complete. They did remove old fence at end of the day. Supposed to return Saturday but was put off until Monday 7/10, later called and advised they could not come. Returned on 7/11 to finish fence but forgot to bring the walk through gate. They returned with the gate after lunch and completed the job. The only real problem was the scheduling issues, the work it itself was completed satisfactorily. I would use them again, but would have them be more definite on their scheduling."
