"They just went above and beyond.  They brought the rug out, he put the rug down, he cut the rug pads; I mean, just super.  They made recommendations and helping me figure out - I mean, I brought three rugs home - and once I made a decision, they came out, put the rugs down; they just went above and beyond the call of duty. "

"We actually had our living room and 1 bedroom carpeted in the downstairs of your home. We purchased the best padding they had. The installation team were right on time and proceeded to tear up the old carpet and padding. They did a great job in moving the furniture and returning everything to its proper place. It probably took about 3-4 hrs to get all the old stuff up and the new down. We were very pleased. Its now 5 mos later and we had noticed a couple places that needed stretched - that goes under the transition piece of wood around the hard wood floor when entering our home, in front of the door. I called and they are coming to do the stretching this week. We are very happy with Carpet Wholesalers and their responsivness to our needs. <br />"

"I was discussing the terrible looking carpet with the lady who cleans my house and who is very familiar with the carpet problem that I had (and have had for a long time). She called her daughter who recommended APEX. After a week or two agonizing over the situation, I decided to call APEX. Mr. Rogers answered the phone and I spoke with him at length about my problem. He was very, very nice and explained their process in cleaning carpets with pet stains. I agreed to have them clean the carpet. I called him on Monday, July 6th, and Mr. Rogers made the appointment for Tuesday, July 7th. As I said in paragraph 14, my husband and I still cannot believe that it is the same carpet! The technician did a beautiful job, and I will not hesitate to call APEX if and when the carpet needs cleaning again."

"Great. After changing our minds about hardwood flooring in these two rooms we finally settled on carpet. McGrews worked patiently with us throughout the whole thing (we had hardwood delivered twice and sent it back twice before settling on carpet) and followed through with a professional installation that met our expectations. We proudly definately recommend them."

"Very pleased with the professional and friendly service. They installed my glass backsplash in the kitchen, installed a new walk-in tiled shower, backsplash and floor in my master bath. Also installed a new tile tub surround, backsplash and floor in my guest bath. Very easy to work with and I was pleased with the level of communication provided throughout the process of completing my projects. They connected me with and coordinated the services I needed for plumbing, glass and mirror installation. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Hollywood, SC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
