"Excellent, prompt, thorough, and professional. Diagnosed our electric needs and came up with the best solution to install our EV charger. He figured out exactly what needed to be done at a very reasonable price. We added on another job and he completed it on the same day. We are very happy with the service provided by Light It Up Electric. I highly recommend Michael and would use his service again. Thank you very much!"

"The breakdown occurred on New Year's Eve, so we waited until the morning of the 2nd to call (figuring we could live without heat til after the holiday, we do have an upstairs furnace that helped keep the downstairs space livable, albeit pretty chilly). Our previous heater/AC guy had apparently gone and retired on us so I researched here and a few other places and decided on Air Solutions (and they advertise on KRMG....don't know why that's a thing with me, but we've had good luck using companies that advertise there). When I called, the woman who took my call did indicate that they were experiencing a high volume of service calls due to current cold spell we're having in Tulsa. She indicated they weren't setting up firm service appointments, just going down the line trying to get to everyone, which was fine and totally understandable. Hadn't heard anything near the end of the day so I called just to get an idea if they'd be able to come the following day (we have big fish tank and water temp was starting to become a potential concern). I considered giving them a B on responsiveness because it would have been nice if someone had proactively reached out when it became obvious they wouldn't get to our house by end of day (I called about 4:50pm), but considering they were very clear when I initially called that it was uncertain if it would be today, I'm not going to be that critical about it. As far as feedback, that's the only potential opportunity for improvement that I experienced, but I think considering the circumstances it was no problem. They were super nice when I called and said it should be early/mid morning the next day. The service technician, Keith, called first thing the next morning to give us roughly a 45 min heads up that he was headed our way. I also received a text message from some automatic application providing his name and informing us he was on his way (and even is average rating out of 5 stars which was a 4.8). He arrived as expected, presented himself professionally, and had booties to protect the carpet. He was knowledgeable, quickly identified the issue (voltage something or other that activates the blower motor) and gave us a few options on how he could approach it which I really appreciated. The options were presented in list format on an iPad and clearly outlined what was included with each option. The solutions ranged from "Bandaid" (which made me laugh, but hey it's honest) - basically just replace the part and move along for $250ish, to Basic/Silver/Gold/Platinum - Platinum being more like replacing the part, full servicing of the unit and if I understood right, even replacing some of the wiring for $750ish. We went for Gold, which was about $620, included replacing the part, servicing the unit and cleaning wire contacts for good connection. Our furnace is roughly 20 years old, so not probably worth it to sink too much money into it at this point. Also, being we knew how old the furnace is, we were braced for much worse news and it would have been easy for someone to have tried to sell us a brand new furnace or even a replacement blower assembly (we would have had a second opinion on a full furnace replacement....I read quite a few negative reviews in the Heat & A/C section here as part of my research, not on Air Solutions specifically I don't believe, but definitely know I saw a few reviews where it seemed worthwhile to get a second opinion before you drop a few grand). He thought he might have to run for parts but turned out he had what he needed. He got right to work, had it fixed in about 2.5 hours, he was on site for all of about 3.25 hours total. He was polite, respectful of the house and kept us informed as he completed the work. He cleaned up after himself and even swept out the rest of the garage. I was happy enough I asked about the green club service contract (he didn't sales pitch me, which I also appreciated, I had read about it a little bit here and on their website) and signed up for it. Shortly after he left, I received another text message asking to respond and rate my experience with Keith, gave him a 5 so maybe that'll help boost his 4.8 a little :) All in all, warm house, happy customer, would recommend, already have service appointment scheduled for next week to do their standard service on our poor upstairs furnace that has been so overworked the last few days."

"Mason was super friendly and easy to deal with, his pricing was excellent and I feel it couldn’t be beat. He upgraded my old panel that was in a closet and put it all outside. It’s been fully operational ever since, and call me crazy but I my energy bill is down and I think it has a lot to do with the additional LEDs he added replacing my old bulbs throughout my house. They did great and thank you!!!"

"It went pretty good.  I had all the materials for them to use.  The kick plate was too tall.  Will need to find the right size.  The front door has a crack in it, which I thought would fill in with the wood filler.  It was in a bad spot, so when the stain was applied, it did not fill in. I will clear coat it, add the kick plate & insulation.   I will have John will come out again - will look at his coupons & get a list together.  Definitely need the porch light replaced soon.  We also discussed a possible electrical issue with the porch light - seems the builder /electrician (1988) may have connected the front light switch with the hall bathroom & bedroom lights.  I was glad that John was able to schedule me, it was 2 months!   John & Wayne were very nice & I will call again soon! "

"We needed 2 ceiling fans installed, so I looked on Angie's List and sent a msg to 3 different electricians I found on here. They were the first to respond within 1-2hrs. I sent my msg on our way to church service and when it was over, I noticed they responded. They were on time, professional, and polite. I would highly recommend them and will definitely reach out to them again if we need any other electrical work."

"Fred removed a picket fence from a side yard, moved a gate and wire fencing from an adjoining yard, installed new privacy fencing where the picket fence used to be, and stained the whole thing. I paid for materials and had them delivered to the house and paid Fred directly for labor. He did a great job on the fence, was punctual and professional. He took the time to make sure everything was level with no gaps at the bottom. I am very pleased with the end result and will use him for other projects in the future."

Hello my name is Albert I was born and raised in Sand Springs Oklahoma and I would like to personally thank you for checking out my website. I'm not your typical contractor as I am a "hands on" business operator. I do not use any subcontractors I personally complete your project from start to finish. I have over 30 years experience including everything from concrete and framing to my now vast knowledge of finish work. I have 3 main vendors I have been working with for years that I get my cabinets, countertops, and tile from and they are all just within a few miles of each other in Tulsa which makes it easy for my customers to choose their materials. I also give you my discount on all these items as I do not make money off of material I make my money with my hands and skills. I take pride in my work and by not having a bunch of subcontractors I can complete projects much quicker and more efficiently than most others. Feel free to give me a call for a free estimate and hopefully we can make your project successful! Thank you for stopping by have a great day.

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Hominy, OK

Yes, a licensed electrician is essential for this project. Running an electrical service from the road to your house involves connecting to utility power lines, complying with national and local electrical codes, and safely handling high-voltage systems.

Licensed professionals understand proper wire sizing, grounding requirements, and voltage drop calculations needed for safe installation. Most jurisdictions require permits and inspections that only certified professionals can obtain. The safety risks and potential for property damage make this project inappropriate for DIY attempts.

Overhead installations are less expensive than underground options. For a 1000-foot run, overhead service costs between $8,000 and $15,000, while underground service ranges from $10,000 to $25,000.

Overhead lines require less labor and fewer materials since they don't need trenching or conduit. However, underground lines offer better protection from weather events and aesthetic benefits. Your decision should balance your budget constraints with long-term reliability and visual preferences.

You might need to upgrade your electrical panel depending on your power requirements. If your existing panel cannot handle the additional load from the extended service, upgrading to a 200-amp service (costing $750 to $2,000) may be necessary.

A licensed electrician can evaluate your current system and determine if an upgrade is required. Factors include what you'll be powering at the end of the line, existing electrical demand, and whether voltage drop over the distance will affect performance.

Running electric service from the road to a house requires electrical permits from your local building department, costing between $500 and $2,000 depending on your location. You may also need excavation permits for trenching work if installing an underground service. Your utility company will have its own application process for connecting to its grid. A licensed electrical contractor can handle all the necessary permit applications as part of their service, ensuring your installation meets all local code requirements.
