"Cox did a fantastic job on my old hardwood floors (sanding and refinishing). Need to update my house, and dreaded getting started. This was the first step. Floors had been carpeted for 40+ years, and now look brand new. Their suggestions and guidance really helped. This experience and results motivates me to keep working on getting the rest of the house done. Once I tear out the kitchen, I will need new flooring in the kitchen and family room. Expecting to talk with Cox for some additional floor help. Highly recommend them."

"WOWZER. Top-notch experience from start to finish. We had our front room carpeting replaced with LVP. Adam Nisley was super. He selected an excellent LVP that complimented the laminate in an adjacent family room. The estimate was delivered promptly and the installation was easily scheduled. Benito and his helper were on time and in and out in four hours. Carpet and a small tile entry were removed and hauled away. He verified with us that the product was correct before beginning. Installation was spot on perfect. Awesome clean up. If you are in the market for new flooring, we give Adam’s Flooring our highest recommendation! "Would 100% hire again. Professional and timely! Fantastic experience! One year after building our home, half of it burnt down. So, not only was this devastating, but we needed to ensure that any work done was up to par, or better, than the original construction. They delivered and then some. This restoration company went above and beyond in fixing up my place after a fire. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were outstanding. Now, my house feels completely renewed, and I couldn't be happier with their excellent service. Additionally, we added space above our garage as well as an outside balcony with stairs and we are more than thrilled with the result. Also, Mike (one of the workers) is the hardest working man in the construction business. Highly recommend them for anyone needing restoration or upgrades!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Hope, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
