This was a 3rd-floor condo unit so the outside unit was on the roof of the 5th story, I could not have been more pleased with the outcome - a very professional and thorough job. They even relocated the thermostat to a better wall location. Very easy to work with and the most important thing to me was they obviously take a lot of pride in their work and it's always a pleasure to deal with people who do what they say. "Called seeking a repair of a 1/2" copper water line leak in a bathroom wall. Called back immediately. Came to the house the next morning and cut out and replaced a section of pipe in the wall and under the house. He was in and out in about 1 hour."

"It took five appointments before we hit a day that the work could be done. I want to be very clear that the first three appointments were rained out with the rainiest May since the 1800s. Todd, the owner of the company, personally did the work. It took two loads of pea gravel to fill the void in the annular opening! He also advised on work to consider in the future regarding the pipe bringing the water into the house and replacing the pump with a submersible one. We have only owned the home for 10 months. My strongest advice would be to make sure an inspection of the well and pump are done prior to closing. Most real estate agents do not seem to know that this is a nominal cost and should be done if you have a private water source. I will absolutely continue to use the services of Matthews Well and Pump"

Since I knew my unit was already past its useful age I asked for a replacement estimate instead, and they provided one immediately (and it was cheaper than previous estimates I'd gotten). The next day my broken unit was completely replaced with a brand new one. Everyone I worked with was on time, polite, efficient, and professional, and I got the impression that they really cared whether I was happy with my service. Definitely would recommend. "I called Fred on a Friday afternoon (at the recommendation of a neighbor) and explained to him that I'd had a plumbing company come out the previous week to check into my fluctuating water pressure. They said I needed a new pressure switch and water bladder so they installed a new tank, which cost me $500. When the water pressure continued to fluctuate (though not as badly), I called the plumber back and he came out, checked the tank under the house and then told me I probably needed a new pump for my well, which he said would cost around $2K. He gave me the name of another company, and said they would probably be able to give him a better price. Fred was so gracious and knowledgeable. He explained to me that there are several reasons for fluctuating water pressure and ways to test for them. He said he'd come by on Monday morning to take a look. He came out first thing to fit me in before another appointment. It turned out that the pressure switch hadn't been adjusted correctly - once that was done the problem just disappeared! You can bet when I do need a pump (or have any other issues) I will call Fred FIRST. Thank you Fred!"
