"Had one of the worst experiences with this company. Sales guy by the name of Webb came out to quote my project to get my attic insulated with spray foam. Communication was lack luster at best. I asked for a heads up on install due to needing to board our dog. On Thursday 8/7/2025 I asked for an install date. On Monday 8/11 Webb text me that he can do tomorrow 8/12. I was able to get boarding for dog for 8/13 and 8/14 and we agreed on doing the work on those dates. After a bunch of phone calls on 8/13 back and forth after NO ONE showed up, Webb says there is a scheudling error someone will come by in afternoon. Guys showed up at 230 in the afternoon said its too much work and they will come back 630am to start. I asked for a sales manager and got John Lownthow. After a 2 minute conversation, John said to take my business elsewhere. When I called for my refund, Ashley told me John is not the sales manager. I dont trust this company and would recommend going elsewhere."

"My elderly parents? uneven driveway had several trip hazards, but the concrete lifting was done in just one day, making it safe again. Absolutely thrilled with the results! Definitely recommend them."

"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Hopkins, SC

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
