"After years and years of doing my own invisible fence ,threw my 3 acre heavily wooded yard - the deer wood seem to inevitably bust the wire or the transformer would go out about every 4-5 years ....I finally decided to splurge I talked to Dave and he assured me if I had these breaks with there system they would come out and find and take care of it but there should be way fewer because of the heavy insulated wire -and they have different collars for stubern dogs -and also a large shock range on the transformer panel -so you can get a very customized system for your needs so I cut down on the area I was covering because of cost and installation issues in the woods and we struck a deal - I have now had my system for 4 years and it's great ,the wire is still holding up well ,never had an issue with the transformer . I was a little concerned about battery collars but I only have to change it about every 5 months so $20.00 a year for that ,actually easier than rechargeable collars every 20 days Great System ,super nice people - My yard was large ,so my cost was a little high ,but worth every penny seeing how well it has held up !"

"Very happy with owner, salesman, and work crew. They rescued me after another contractor started the fence, then walked off the job. They put up most of the fence in the winter, put up temporary fence in the spots that could not be done due to the season, then returned in the spring to finish. They were very considerate of my indecisiveness by making suggestions that would fit my needs. They were very tolerant of, and pleasant to, my two obnoxious dogs. Since the fence has been in place, three different people have stopped to ask me who did the fence, because it looks so nice from the street."

"Working with Artistic Fence was a great experience.  We needed a fence that could contain a dog that can climb chain link, but didn't want a privacy fence to cut us off from our neighbors.  Amy from Artistic Fence came and looked over our property, talked about our options for our fence, and wrote out a bid right there.  She answered all my questions, and was very helpful and professional.  Their bid came in on the low end of the quotes we got.  Their building timeline was reasonable, even though it was the busy season for new fences, and the folks that came to build the fence where prompt, and impressively efficient.  The fence is exactly what we hoped for, and is beautifully done.  We couldn't be happier with it.

Update: A few months after the fence was installed, a few of the wooden caps that cover the fence posts began to split, assumedly because of water.  I called them, they sent someone out, and replaced the broken parts free of charge under the warranty."

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

"Due to a severe hail storm, we had significant damage to our home. We contracted with Hoffman Weber to replace our roof, siding, gutters, windows and repair the decks. "First, I should state that I had an Angie's Deal, so the price I paid is lower than what others may pay for the same service.

My first call took me to a Call Center where they asked me a lot of questions I wasn't prepared to answer about repair details. How many cracks, depth of cracks, how any rooms, etc. I expected someone to come to my house and tell me how much could be fixed given the amount I paid for the 'deal' and then take it from there if I wanted to add on. This is not the service provider's fault but rather a consequence of how they manage their workflow. I was also unsure about what I needed to do to prepare for the repairs since there was an obvious disconnect between the person scheduling the appointment and the actual service provider.

Once I had contact with Keith, the person who was to do the plaster repair, everything went very well.  He was courteous, friendly and completed all the repairs I requested. He also found spots I missed and repaired those as well. From what I understand, Handyman Connection acts as a general contractor, subbing out jobs to folks on their list. So, while my experience was very positive in the end, I can't recommend Handyman Connection as a whole based on the experience I had with one excellent service provider.

My advice: if you want plaster repair or painting done thru Handyman Connection, ask for Keith. He is a gem. My grades are based on his performance, not the company overall."

"Dennis did a fantastic job. He did quality work in a very efficient, timely manner. He was very open to our comments & suggestions as he went along. As we walked around the house, he even asked if he could fix one wall that we had not discussed, as he felt he could make a tremendous improvement to the way the wall was originally patched - and he did make it look SO much better (and charged us very little for it). The biggest part of the job was fixing the cracks in the plaster in our stairwell. After he did it and repainted the area, there was some paint cracking over the former plaster cracks. I called him and he came over the next morning. That began a headache of a project for him. However, he came back multiple times to fix & repair and then re-paint that wall. Each time he was very professional, apologetic for the time it was taking, and absolutely determined to make it perfect. He did a really wonderful job. We are extremely happy with the final product of the plaster repair, as well as the various other painting jobs he did around the house. We plan on having him paint our front door as soon as the weather warms up."
