"I met with a lot of fireplace companies before I settled on Chimney Safety Experts. It was a great call in the end. To begin, Hugo, who was the man you came out to see the job and bid it, was always available when I called him. (I like other companies. ) Had endless patience with my questions and was sweet and polite throughout. He was also very knowledgeable, honest, and really gave a **** about my job. Which was not a huge non or small either. I had the entire firebox redone as well as completely redone smoke chamber and total chimney (inside ) adding an upper exterior damper, Redoing the spark Arrestor, and the chimney crown. The two guys that did all that work were Brainer and Moses. (I can’t attest to anyone else in the company since I haven’t experienced their work). But I can say Brainer and Moses are FANTASTIC at their job. Almost Artists. They were unbelievably clean — given the demo job I’m not even sure how they accomplished that. The job they did and care they took with the redo of the entire chimeny and fire box was amazing. They have been doing this work a long time and like Hugo, care about what they do. I can highly recommend them! And the price was very reasonable compared to some of the other companies I spoke to. You can’t go wrong with this team."

"Too bad they only offer 5 stars-I would've rated them 10! We had a fireplace service out a couple of weeks back. The tech opened up the fireplace, banged around, and determined that we needed $2550.00 worth of work done on the unit. Jonathan was my second opinion for the job. He opened it up, looked around, and determined that it simply needed a good cleaning and some adjusting. He cleaned the unit and the exhaust, worked on it for roughly an hour, and had it working like new, for less than half the price the other company quoted us. On top of all this, Jonathan explained to us exactly how the unit worked so we would have a better understanding of the lighting process. Now a bit about Jonathan. This man is bright (extremely), honest (my instinct tells me as much), and has a frankness in his demeanor that is fresh and welcome in these times where everyone seems to be on the grift. "We've had a problem with birds and a squirrel coming down our chimney. One chimney is in the kitchen for an indoor grill, and there is our fireplace in the den. We have rarely used either the grill or fireplace in the mid-century home we inherited from our parents. We decided to get the chimneys capped to prevent animal invasion. Luna's Chimney Sweep had very good reviews, so I called and was informed by Violet what the process is and that they offer a free estimate. I made an appointment and Pedro Luna and his assistant, Chris, arrived promptly on the appointed day and time. Mr. Luna explained their service and also gave us good information about the operation and mechanisms of fireplaces. He did the inspection and told us the problem areas that he found and gave us the option of how much work we would want to have done on the fireplaces. He said they could start work that day if we accept the estimated price, or make an appointment for them to come back another day. We decided to have the recommended repairs done that day, with cleaning and capping of both fireplaces. The work was completed in a little under three hours. Mr. Luna and Chris were thorough, efficient, and neat. He reviewed the work done with us and made sure we were satisfied with everything. They were careful to clean up afterward and the work areas were left spotless. We are pleased with the work done, the price seemed fair, and Mr. Luna was careful to explain everything and to make sure we understood the hows and whys of what he was recommending and doing. I would not hesitate to use his service again or give a referral to others."
