"I had steel front entry door that faced the morning sunlight.  As a result of this, along with paint color, the door (and sidelights) absorbed a lot of heat and underwent a lot of expansion and contraction.  This expansion eventually led to the sidelight trim to bust causing a drafty entryway and moisture intrusion. Also, probably as a result of the house settling after construction, both the entry door and and storm door were not square and didn't shut and latch properly. I went to the showroom and informed Mr. Pittner of my problems and he suggested the type of door I should get installed which I agreed to.  Mr. Pittner called before coming out to perform the removal and installation and they arrived on time.  They made two trips out to the house, the first to install entry door then later to install the storm door after I painted the entry door (I wanted to save a little bit so I did the paint myself)  They performed the work quickly and quietly (as quiet as you can for a construction job!) and were even open to any questions I asked during the process.  They were thorough in their clean up as well.  I am very happy with the installation and am no longer embarrassed by my front door.  I would definitely recommend this Pittner Services and if I ever have a similar job (windows, doors, etc.) they will be the first I would call.
My only "complaint" would be the timing of installation.  I got the initial quote towards the end of May, installation of the entry door occurred in mid July, and completion of the project with the storm door in  mid September. When we were determining a day to come out I was put on the schedule as ASAP, meaning that the installation shouldn't take long and they would fit me in between bigger jobs.   I can't really complain much because I wasn't in a hurry to get the job completed and if I wanted it done sooner I would have requested a firm date, so some of the "blame" could have been put on me.  Weather also played a role, we ended up having a wet June so that pushed a number of jobs back.  Another reason I can't complain much is they when they did come out in July, it was after a nice cold front pushed through which knocked the temps down near 80 degrees, so I saved in not having to run the AC while they had the front entry way wide open during installation.  Finally, when they made the second trip out to install the storm door they took a look at and repaired a closing and latching problem I was having with my back patio door (installed by a Lowes installer a couple years earlier, had simliar thermal expansion and moisture problem) at no extra cost!  I wish I had Pittner for that job.   I can look at time issue in a positive light however, if it took this long to come out to complete the job due to other projects going on, then there are other people that see that they perform quality work.

"Prompt, courteous, beautiful job.  But, they could have used the magnet rake more and gotten up the screws, I have flat tires that have to be aired every time I mow.  They could have returned as promised to remove the base of DISH that was put up incorrectly and had to pay DISH repairman to come and replace with new unit. I have sent email reminding, to no avail.

"I contacted several painters 5 weeks ago for an estimate to repair and paint the exterior of my house. Brad Rogers was the first one to return my call and arrived promptly to provide an estimate. He was not the least expensive painter, but,he provided the most detailed and thorough estimate. He was very honest about not being available for five weeks, but I decided to hire him because he was the most professional of any painter I've ever met. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and began work immediately. His crew was at my house by 6:45 am every morning and worked everyday until 5 pm or later. As an example of how great their work ethic is, if the weather wasn't conducive to painting, they would find something to repair on the exterior. I never saw anyone have any "down time". Everyone on the crew was courteous and professional without exception. They all take obvious pride in their work and you can see that by the beautiful job they did on my house. Even though the house is 25 years old, the exterior looks brand new. These folks really pay attention to the details and I could not be more pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They're so good, they ought to have their own show on HGTV."

"Amazing! This man is a true artist with a paint brush. He was able to get all the blue covered up or removed from the ceiling and all the spots on the base boards. After he fixed all those problems, he then applied a beautiful color to the walls and the room just sparkles from all of his hard work. He caulked, scraped and fixed what needed to be done to get the room the way I wanted it. Mr. Clemons not only does a very through job and is very dependable (he always shows up on time) but he also cleans up after himself and leaves the area better looking and cleaner than he found it. He is also very pleasant to work with. He's a really nice man and if you're going to have someone working in your home for a day or two, it's great to have such a nice person around. I have more work to be done on the outside of the house and he will be doing the work for us then."

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"I originally hired Sam and his crew to complete a remodel on my master bath. I received bids from several contractors. Not only was Sam well under in price, but his overall demeanor and customer service made me feel instantly at ease. Throughout the project, Sam and his crew were professional, courteous, and overall a pleasure to work with. The bathroom turned out so amazing that I hired them a few months later to build a screened in porch off the back of the house. Once again, the quality and value were top notch!. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pro Building Solutions to my friends and family, and will continue to call them for projects in the future, big or small. They are the only contractor in Huntsville I'll use!!!"

"I had Susan paint most of our house just before we moved in. She was responsive and got back to me fairly quickly. Her crew was made up of family members and they were respectful to my family and of our home. PRICE. There was some confusion on the cost of the project. Based on our phone conversations and the statement "I charge $22-$25 per hour", my understanding was that I was going to be charged by the hour at or close to the Angie's List "$1765 for 80 Hours" rate (approximately $22 per hour). I took the estimate to be a "not to exceed" price based on pictures and measurements that I texted to Susan. Instead, Susan had quoted it as a lump sum bid that turned out to be over double the Angies's List price after all the hours were tallied up. This is something that I should have paid closer attention to prior to the start of the job as the estimate was written as a lump sum. We did some negotiation on price and were able to come to an agreement. Overall, I was not happy with the price but accept that as my mistake. QUALITY. The quality of the job was adequate but not outstanding. Most outlet and switch cover plates weren't removed for cutting in and of the ones that were removed, they were not all replaced. Several areas needed touching up after the job and there were numerous paint drips on trim and a few on the floor from the cutting in. Drop cloth usage was an issue the first day and I ended up scraping paint splatter off of the hardwood floor for an hour or so that evening. I mentioned this at the beginning of the second day and after that it was slightly better but still a problem. Unfortunately, I have spent quite a lot of time on my hands and knees scraping paint off the floor with my fingernail and am still finding "roller splatter" after a month (see attached picture). RESPONSIVENESS. Good PUNCTUALITY. Adequate PROFESSIONALISM. Good Overall, Susan was friendly, easy to work with, and had good style suggestions that we decided to use. Some coordination was necessary between the painting, carpet cleaning, and movers. This did not appear to be a problem."
