He generated many alternative ideas and designs based on what we said we wanted and what he thought we might need, with numerous critical questions along the way. Also feedback on detail design choices and placement. Multiple design cycles. The designs we ended up with, while not actual blueprints, were detailed enough for professional remodelers to use. We moved a bedroom from upstairs to basement, doubled the upstairs bathroom size, grew the primary bedroom, added a walk-in closet, and repaired the basement flood damage. Many things we should have done long ago. Paul got us going to a better place."

"We purchased a new home which was in excellent condition but seriously dated. We wanted to redecorate and do some structural changes before we moved in. We pulled up the old carpet and replaced it with lovely maple hardwood floors. We had the popcorn ceilings removed, we repainted the walls, had new baseboards installed to achieve consistency, selected light fixtures, purchase new furniture, and made a number of other minor but important changes to hinges, doorknobs, and that sort of thing in order to achieve a coordinated and finished look. Vicki offered us a variety of services at a reasonable price: she offered design advice on colors and finishes, she went to the store with us to look at furniture and rugs, she did research to help us find special fixtures, and finally, we asked her to take on the project management so all this could be coordinated with minimum hassle for us. She does an outstanding job of project management. She also has excellent connections to skilled specialists who are really a joy to work with. She put us in contact with her flooring guy, two different carpenters , a painter, a window treatment specialist, and others. These craftspeople were all professional, responsive, and did excellent work. Everybody who comes into our home comments on how lovely it looks. We tried working with several other designers before we met Vicki. It is not easy to find someone who is capable and pleasant to work with. When we met Vicki, we discovered she has good ideas but is flexible. She is responsive and affordable. And she's fun to work with! We initially started with Vicki on the basic work. But we enjoyed working with her so much that we expanded the project and continued to work with her on a number of things. We recommend Vicki enthusiastically for design, research, and project management."

"Wonderful customer service, very fast turn-around and quality work.  Tracey came out for an estimate and demonstrated her de-cluttering process by going through a small part of one closet.  I was pleased with her attitude and professionalism.  She really listened to my needs and wishes while holding my feet to the fire in terms of clearing things out.  She came back out and worked with me for 6 hours to organize and clear out mom's stuff as well as a great deal of my own unnecessary clutter  She hauled away half a dozen bags to Goodwill and made great suggestions for future organization of my storage spaces. <br /> A few days later, I arranged for Tracey and her team to come back out for a "deep cleaning" of my entire apartment. They scrubbed, vacuumed, polished and generally turned my dingy old apartment into a clean and shining home.  They got the bathroom grout clean again, the stovetop gleaming, got a nail polish spill off a chair, and dusted and oiled all the woodwork and furniture.  They even did some minor "staging" such as arranging the bathroom towels decoratively and placing my keepsakes in an attractive arrangement.  I was amazed to come home to such a beautiful apartment. <br /> Tracey was delightful to work with - very personable and she worked around my schedule and my desire to have my apartment looking nice for the holidays.  I thought the fees were very reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent.  Pending my landlord's approval, I might use this service for recommendations and/or work on packing and prepping for painting and recarpeting. <br /> I highly recommend Two Dames.  The job was not that large, but it felt huge to me and I was struggling to manage it.  Tracey put me at ease, made it fun and manageable and helped me to set up a system to prevent this from happening in the future. <br />"

"I called the California Closet local store, and they set up an appointment for us to meet with one of their designers in our home on a Saturday morning. Since this is a new house, but we hadn't moved yet, they suggested that we measure the closet capacity in our old home to figure out what would fit into the new closet. Adrienne arrived at the new house promptly, looked at the closet, took measurements, and talked with us about what elements were important to us (hanging space, space for shoes, space for folded clothes); this was important because the new closet space is slightly less than the old spaces combined. She showed us photos of the different possibilities (with crown molding and baseboard, or without, with full backs, or without, etc.), and then sat down with her computer and worked out some possible designs, which she reviewed with us. She had great suggestions for what would and would not work given the size of the closet and what we wanted to fit into it. She also provided a design for some bathroom cabinets, although we did not purchase those due to the expense ($1600 for the 2). We did decide right then to proceed with the closet, and she collected information for the 50% deposit. She also emailed the closet plan pictures to us, and I made a change (added doors), and she then emailed the updated pictures. She told us that we would need to remove the existing closet fixtures and baseboard, and do any painting we wanted (there was an option for them to do these steps for additional cost). We had the closet installed a couple of days ago, and it went fine. The installer showed up at 8:30, and was done by 2:00 p.m. I met him in the morning and then I went to work while he was installing. The installer re-installed the baseboard on sections of the wall that were not covered by the closet fixtures, and painted a couple of the metal bars that attach the fixture to the walls using the left-over wall paint we had provided. The closet was missing one of the adjustable shelves shown in the closet plan picture, but Adrienne is going to get that to us. In addition, within 30 days of the installation, we can switch out accessories without additional installation charge (we are going to swap out a divided shoe cubby for shelves). The closet looks great, and was worth the expense of not having to do it ourselves."
