"GreenHouse did a fantastic job on our new deck and porch from beginning to end. Juan was instrumental in developing the overall design concept, as well as brainstorming ideas for how to implement some of the custom details that we wanted (including a drink table for our hot tub!). He offered various design schemes for the deck boards, railing and stairs, as well, presenting options for upgraded looks and function while never pushing for pricier items (he even steered us away from the highest end composite panels because he didn't believe that we would benefit enough from it). Ricky and the construction team were friendly, always on time and created an extremely sturdy and attractive deck that was just as cool - or better - than Juan described during the design. Overall, GreenHouse delivered on their promises, finishing in even less time than they estimated and at the agreed budget price with no change orders or markups along the way. I highly recommend them and would happily hire them again!"

"We worked with Dylan on a number of house projects, beginning with a full bathroom remodel. We also had him hang new doors throughout the house and build/install a customer island in a tight kitchen. He has an eye for finish details that tend to be ignored, and we were extremely pleased with the finished products on the entire project."

"It started with the kitchen... Robert was recommended to me by a neighbor and I knew from our first meeting I was in good hands. He listened to my ideas for the kitchen and gave thoughtful recommendations and suggestions. Robert started the project when promised, and finished much sooner than expected. Because he stays on budget, you can do so much more than you think. The kitchen turned into an entire renovation of my main level, adding another bathroom, and complete renovations of our 2 additional bathrooms. My home has undergone a complete transformation! If you are looking for a trustworthy, honest, dedicated, tidy, hard-working, friendly contractor who is conscious of your budget...stop searching. You found him. Be patient - I'm not the only one that knows how amazing he is, and you may have to wait a little while. He works lightening fast! So much so that that little wait for him to get to your project will be a distant memory as you enjoy your new kitchen, bathroom, deck, lighting, basement, fireplace, flooring, doors, windows, stairwell, or built in storage unit. I confidently recommend Robert to people all the time. Whether you have a small project, or a big one, whether you are sure of your design, or need a bit of help, whether you know exactly what you are doing, or have no idea, Robert will guide you so that your finished project will look incredible. Get ready to fall in love with your own house!"

"Original bid was $850. Somehow it ended up costing $1200. I'd rather know the price up front than be lied to. Every trip he made to the house there was a new issue that increased price. I have since spoken to a couple of installers who assured me that the items he charged me extra for should have been included at no charge and he should have known to look for them when he did the original bid. Like how thick was the existing door and the replacement door? Charging extra to replace trim that you removed? I wouldn't use him again. Which is sad. I would have paid the higher price if that's what he had quoted to begin with, but to nickel and dime at every turn seems shady and I don't want to business with that kind of businessman. The house was under contract and he knew that I had to get the job done, which he gladly took advantage of, running up the price. Don't take advantage of people. It isn't nice. Like I said, I needed the job completed, the issue wasn't the price, I would have paid the $1200, the issue was the way that the man does business. If this is the way that Wayne treated me, I shudder to think of how he would take advantage of someone else who would be easy to take advantage of, say and elderly person or someone else who was rushed. It's better to be up front and honest. The job took longer than anticipated but not excessively. I've noticed that any home improvement job seems to take longer than scheduled."

"It went perfectly. I called and spoke to the office immediately. They came out the next day on a Sunday prepared to give an estimate and complete the job. Everything is done. They performed quality work with quality products, very professional, clean-cut, honest, efficient, fair price. We are very happy and highly recommend them."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Idaho Springs, CO

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
