"Rex and Rex provide the best service at the best price. They are very professional, on time, thorough, very nice and neat. I went to work with old blue carpet on my outdoor patio and returned to new green carpet. They removed all my patio furniture, removed the old carpet, secured the boards, installed the new carpet and replaced my patio furniture exactly as it was.. I recommend Swaine highly."

"<br /> <br /> <p>Outstanding! He said he would not be able to remove a wine stain from several years ago that I had covered up with furniture, but he did, and the 16 year-old berber carpet now looks like new. The den carpet was refreshed and clean as the discoloring and the stains were removed. The 3 year-old bedroom carpet was cleaned well, too. We have had this company several times previously, but stopped when we had hardwood floors installed in the main living section of the house. We are really glad we called them for this job. They had taken care of our living area rugs when we were flooded from burst pipes, and again, when the air conditioner backed up and flooded, as well as regular rug cleaning, periodically. It is great that the rugs are dry quickly, and one can walk on them almost right away. I can't say enough good about this family-owned business (in the Lakeland area)!</p> <br /> <br /> <blockquote>   <br /> <br /> <p><br /></p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mar 27, 2014 04:20:02 PM,  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p>stain came out, and the 16 year-old berber carpet looks like new.  The den carpet was refreshed as the discoloring and stains were removed.  We have had this company several times previously, but stopped when we had hardwood floors installed in the main living section of the house. "My rental property required new carpeting and so I researched three carpet businesses on Angie's List. After getting an estimate from each business, HUGHES FLOORING, INC. provided the most competitive bid. Richard Hughes is a very knowledgeable and friendly person who answered all of my questions in detail. The carpet was installed yesterday and it has transformed the house...it looks great and I am very happy. The living room doorway had quite a large gap between the floor and the door threshold and so shingles were installed to level the floor once the padding and carpet were installed...it worked very well. I would recommend all Angie's List members in the area to at least get an estimate from this company before choosing another flooring company. <br />"

"This was a great experience. First impression as you walk into the showroom is a small Mom and Pop business. The sales guys at the showroom are casual and down to earth. They were very patient with all our questions and selections. They ordered us a sample from the mill of what we thought we wanted. Even though Floor Depot was less expensive than another place we priced it, we all agreed that the carpet we thought we wanted was overpriced for what it was. They suggested another carpet that was a good alternative and a better price. The installation was on time and extremely professional. This place has a well experienced staff, most of which have been with them for many years. Even their installers are employees and not hired out. They seem very relaxed and proficient at what they do. My wife and I would certainly recommend Floor Depot in Clearwater for any flooring needs."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Indian-Lake-Estates, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
