"Early Saturday evening we lost water. I called our regular well company immediately but did not receive a return call. I understand, not everyone wants to work on the weekend but by 5:45 AM Sunday AM we were fairly miserable. Carrying water from the swimming pool over hardwood floors in order to refill toilets is not my idea of fun. I put in a call on a Sunday morning a bit after 7:30 AM to Bay Area Pump and Wesley texted back almost immediately. He asked if between 10:00 - 10:30 AM was ok (I was thrilled) and was at our house at 10:00 AM. The problem was ants had gotten in the well's electric box. I asked if we should have the well serviced regularly and he said no, just spray to keep the ants down. Wow, someone who responds quickly, is punctual, works on a Sunday morning for a fair cost AND doesn't try to sell us a service policy! Water restored, my husband and I are delighted and highly recommend Wesley and Bay Area Pump."

"The biggest problem is that he'll say he's coming on a particular day and doesn't show. We had to call him to see what was up. He did replace our pump and he said he would be back later in the week to check the sprinkler heads. He never showed up. We had another issue with the new pump and called him. Again he said he would show up on a day and didn't. Again we called. When he came he said we had a different issue and proceeded to fix it. He also checked all our zones and changed the configuration. We have heads that aren't working that he didn't catch as not working. He's very knowledgeable but we'd rather deal with someone else."

"From the time Nick came out to give us an estimate on what repairs needed to be done, and Hunter and David arrived to complete the repairs we were treated professionally and respectfully. The work was done as contracted for and Hunter and David went above and beyond our total satisfaction. We will definitely refer them to all our friends and neighbors."

"Company review for local business-- This time: Ants short-circuited well pump switch & needed replacement (Last time a long while back: We moved in to house and needed a pump installed to existing well.) RESULTS: Both times, Billy Clark (and sometimes his crew, as needed) were fast, knowledgeable, honest, and-- to prove that last part-- reasonably priced. Both times their installation (Last time) and replacement (This time) worked just fine. Last time, power company had power surges due to bad grounding which caused unequal loading issues, and paid for replacement, but Billy and crew made good at very reasonable rates, and both service calls (Both for the new well hookup and this recent call) were fast, effective, courteous, and reasonably priced: AND-- MOST-IMPORTANTLY-- worked just fine (other than the power surge-- which was NOT well company's fault). I know enough about wells and electrical & mechanical things to know that they treated us fairly. Yeah, I'm glad to write a review for good techs. Would use again and recommend. We offer an overheat protection switch to keep your pumps protected. Our price point is far better than what would cost you to replace your well and centrifugal pumps. Preventive care is always better than reactive care. Aside from distributors and pump manufacturers, we don't have return clientele because our switch works perfectly. 5 minute installation and a product made in USA that is less than $200. Patented product.

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

"They were excellent! They did a great job! In fact we were calling them today for another problem. The guy that came out did a good job. He was very personable and very knowledgeable. We had people that came tell us it was going to cost 1300 bucks or 1500 bucks to solve the problem. He solved the problem for $700. I would highly recommend them. They were first class. It's a family operation. They're good at returning phone calls and just coming up with practical solutions to things."

"The company replacing my septic tank drain field, CPR-Charlie Pritt Repair, co-ordinated having Don's Septic Service come out and pump my septic tank before completing the drain field work.  Jerry from Don's Septic said the tank was very heavy inside with 3 1/2 feet of sludge.  That's why they had to charge a little more than usual.  Jerry said I should have the tank pumped out every 6 years and they will send a reminder.   I was happy with the service and glad to know a company I can call on when/if I need them..."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Indian-lake-estates, FL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
